There are plenty of inconsistencies between the album vocals, and live vocals (if you bothered to listen and give it a thought, it's not hard to spot), so definitely no lip syncing going on here...

There's no reason Billie couldn't have handled chords while Mike Dirnt handled the tremolo part and the fills. If the whole song isn't live, none of it is :(

@MrGreenDayLive Obviously when they play live it's only them, but here they are using a backing track because it's not an important performance. if it was an important performance they would had 3 guitarists: Mike Dirnt, Billie (on chorus) and another one that i do not have the data of him, but I've seen them live and there is another guitarist

The reason why there is the melody track at the back is because I doubt Billie has a guitar tech that can actually switch from a clean chorus verb tone to a full fledged distortion with boost. That's like stepping on 3 pedals at once and then activating 2 more! Part 1:07- 1:09 really proves he's singing. He goes a little off. Listen to '' till then''

@MrBCRMBST the tremolo guitar you hear in the intro and through the verses is a backing track, hense why tre is using headphones, he will also be hearing a click so he stays at the right tempo to be in time with the tremolo when it comes back in.

seeing as all it is is a 4 bar sample theres not really much point in having another guitarist on stage to play it.

@MrBCRMBST They use a backing track of the tremola effect in bouevard of broken dreams. There is also a track for the interlude parts... They did this because there are only two guitars on stage but four for the song.

@MrBCRMBST jason plays the chords in the verse, mike has to play the bass part, the tremolo part and little fills are a backing track because otherwise theyd need more than 2 guitarists... Playing live is much harder than you might think

Green Day was an amazing band that changed punk music for the world. Now they are a crappy commercial band for kids. If they hadn't become sell outs I wouldn't have got into metal which I realised was far superior than punk. You want decent music, listen to Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Bring Me The Horizon, Escape The Fate and Slipknot. Don't become victim's to Green Day's newest sold out crap. If you want good, non-commercial music listen to al those. By the way, 21CB = HORSECRAP
