Steve is not the only living member!!!! I am a family member of the lead singer Bob Burton.... he is alive and well.... itz scary to think that everyone thinks hes dead...... i kno it was recorded a long time ago but seriously????!?!?!?!?!................ anyway... hez not dead... lets make that official... yes??... kool
This was recorded in 1966. Steve Cox is the lead guitar and is the only living member of the band. He now lives in Texas. He has told me about the day this and the flip side(That's the Bag I'm In). The story is very interesting. Steve is now a graphic artist and is known for his pinstriping. You can find a story about him by searching his name.
I seem to recall reading something that suggested that this was about Lyndon B. Johnsons daughter, and how she wasn't just the christian cut out girl the media portrayed, but also a tripping kinky freaking hippy, that the media could not talk about...
had this 45 too at one time.. this song , and the b-side "that's the bag i'm in" are great 60s garage band music at their best..They're both available on a compilation cd called "back from the grave". this is a true classic and very hard to get
