  • Different images and history.

  • they remind me a bit of southeast asian, micronesian and polynesian folks.....

  • Where ever the white man goes he leaves a trial of sorrow and destruction

  • 2 rio tinto managers watched this and disliked?

  • # 3 with no respect for the first nations peoples so again we will call on education and expanding your community awareness to other countries who are having similar issues as we have in Guyana our Amerindian peoples are facing the same issues with land claims, I will say this that strong connections within your systems and governments with a elected person from your group will always bring a deeper and wider understanding than more disputes to follow from a deeply concern Arawak Amerindian ..

  • # 2 to your government for we could no longer fight with bow and arrow and as

my grand father believe that to fight the strongest link you must become the strongest link by joining forces with that link with in the education system of your country or state for this is my fight too for all first nations people of the Caribbean to come together and gather in force to let there concerns knownWith concerns to deforestation i do agree that this is so wrong to be allowed in ignorance [continue]

  • CONCERNS ABOUT SURINAME # 1

From the grandson of the first nations Amerindian Arawak leader and government representative to all the Amerindian first nations people of Guyana [ Mr Stephen Campbell ] First of all to the first peoples Suriname i feel your pain and concerns for these are the same issues my grandfather fought for and i feel your pain and concern how ever you and your peoples must work with in certain guidelines and have one of your peoples elected as a connection [continue]

  • One very weird and unknown country, that's what I know about Suriname. The same goes to Guyana and French Guyana...they're completely unknown for us brazilians, and we share some kilometers of border...If you guys want to join Brazil, just ask coz we need space for our industrial development and there are many people interested in buying houses in the caribbean coast. Just say you want to join us, and we're invading you the following day.

  • Bury My Heart is "a life-altering approach to turning managers into unconditionally committed leaders." Check out slapcompany.

  • nikkers

  • @ReadeRomke sranantongo

  • It's not like they're saying "All immigrants must leave this is OUR country!!!!" they just want the rights to their own land! It's theirs in the first place! Why can't the government do this for its people?? this is absurd. it makes me so mad.

  • surinam also belong to the blacks because they haven't choose to be in surinam they were brought there by european people

  • Nice language

  • In fact, there is no official language in Suriname, there is no word reffering to an official language in the constitution. But, all the legal affairs are treated in dutch, the colonial language. In Suriname, you can hear : sranang tongoe, english, dutch, dialects from the maroons, amerindian, hindi, spanish, javaneese, hatian creole and yet more ... (my english is poor, i am french speaking person born in suriname !).

  • gorgeous!

  • the white people are originally from europe , example, spain, italy, russia ,france, germany, nederland, and so forth. they have enslaved the children of jacob called the children of israel which are the native indians and the negroes these two groups of people are the children of the holy bible who God has punished for disobeying the laws of the bible but if they return to the blble god will save them

  • this land is originally from the these people, has given it to them. they are the lost tribe of Israel, the man named Jacob in the bible they are the first children of israel to migrate through the euphrates river into this land , these people are the lost tribe of israel whom jesus came to save , they have a long history ,they are blood brothers of the run away slaves as well , who also belongs the 12 tribe of israel. the people of the holy book , which the holy seed of GOD . WAKE UP

  • what language are the people in this movie speak?

  • @mbradley111

    Suriname,

    Well im an Native to.

    This situation is Big,

  • @mbradley111

They speak "Sranang Tongo" (Negro English). It's the official language in Suriname besides Dutch.

  • I dread for the jugement day. We have a lot to answer to the man upstairs. I am afraid very afraid. Greed is terrible.

  • omg :(

  • What the fuck this motherfucker white englishman is talking about. Everywhere the white man go he bring misery

All throughout history, look it up

Everything them bald heads touch they fuck it up

Every government they set up, it be corrupt

  • hallo duurku kabeh wong jowo sing onok ndok suriname,, aku kepengen dolan dolan mrono

  • It is not Your government for as long as you are content to share your land with european invaders. Why demand from an enslaver/oppressor what is inherently your birth right? If you have to ask or demand, then you have already relinquished your will. The invader is the one who should be asking...asking whether you still want them in your land and if you are willing to share what is yours with them. Get it right!

  • So depressing, it's like my third world island, everyone get a fucking holiday, christian, hindi, muslim but NADA for the indigenous people. Since this was made and our man in Boliva has come out forward, we should according to natures rule see indigenous all over the region step up... Loud and Proud.

  • @buddhasknowsbest .

  • @IndianLand26

    sorry voor mijn reactie

  • Its a shame that the First Nations have been so mistreated,...hope these people regain their land, their identity.

  • proof the white man a beast

  • die vrouw lijkt op sinterklaas

  • All AmerIndians whose countries are bordered with the Caribbean and those indigeneous people of the Caribbean, descendants of those before Columbus should come together and fight for your rights. You should be given your own territories to develop and cultivate so that your children will have something to call their own. No government should abandon or abuse its indigeneous people.

  • Aloha,

Great video, great people, beautiful country.

Thank you for posting this documentary film.

    Mahalo

  • Zo faya.

    Ik viind ett echt erg

  • EEY DUDE it is GUYANA not GUIANA if you not can spell then shut the F up you jerk!!!

  • @Mapimaholland

Similarly, some people would say to you that the correct spelling is Guiana, not Guyana. The word Guyana and Guayana are likely corruptions of the original. Guiana is the land of fast waters, such as modern Guyana with the tallest waterfall in the world. The Guianas cover a large area, including northern Brazil. Peace.

  • ethnic minorities must be saved from extinction! this case we speak about Native America (Native American, Apache, Cheyenne, Mapuche .....)

Governments must foster development. Only in this way, the original breed may have a chance to survive! We can not allow this noble breed

extinguished! W Red Power movement, W NOBLE native people, I love red leather. all tribes from the north to the south of the continent all together. against extinction

  • so people don't act like you are different we are all surinams and should stop this kind of discrimination.i thought that surinam is one of the few places in the world were people live together in harmony.what happend to all that love and peace? i for one will help where i can and as long as i can to stop this.where ever in the world this sort of things happens people should fight with words and deeds against it.

  • it's the only place with unpolluted watters and provides the whole world with clean ear better then other jungles.without it the world would have a big problem. so please if you can help preserve the jungle of surinam and give the indigenous people they're rights then please do. i am an caraibs indian and have african blood amongst other in me so i recognise all the ethnicety in suriname as my own.

  • i'm crying:( this makes me sad to see what my country man has done to our country.this land is the one jungle along with the two Guyana's that should not be touched in that manner by humans.

  • Dont Forget Who We Are

  • arowak 4 life

    mi famirie ...

wies peh oeng deh oeng neh liep sranang

  • funny thing is if you listen to them, the language that they speak is really half dutch/half surinamese, they don't really speak full surinamese like my grandparents

  • sorry but they do, the indigenous people speak the original language that of the indians the age old language.but they speak modern day surinam to that is the sranang tongo.

  • @dangerTOyou i know that, i am surinamese, i'm just very surprised to hear some dutch words

  • Everything that the Europen Sees and Wants.......HE STEALS THEN DESTROYS!!!

  • ....and then these foreign European "white" invaders (and now the other invaders from Africa, Asia, Middle East, etc) rationalize their evil behavior by saying: "We discovered and were not lost & ship wrecked", "We only came to explore the land and not to terrorize", "We took but did not steal", "We came to teach the Bible and never to impose assimilation & acculturation", "We came for a better life and never to exploit the natural resources", "We have legal permission to enter; we're citizens"

  • Hi are you indiginous surinamese im touched by this its so wrong. I want to visit this beautuful country

  • good vid post,

    goverment is wrong always

    evil

  • thats wack. I feel for them.. why arent they represented, even in demogrphics.. Its sad to see their culture disappear, they should be represented, and yes, im half javanese. Surinam belongs to the indigenous.

  • I agree suriname does lets support indiginous social political and eco projects so that the the next generation can aquire there rightfull place in surinames society.

  • Suriname belongs to the Indians!

Suriname doesn't belongs to the Africans or Europeans!

  • I agree with you suriname does belong to the indiginous people but i feel that people high up are corrupting others and using one community against the other. Im jamaican cuban and will be visiting suriname this year wanna meet the people of this nation but wont stay quiet if the indiginous people are not being represented. Its not right and we all should make our voices herd not just in suriname but where ever we are. I feel the dutch government still controls those in power in suriname

  • I hope you mean the indigenous Natives when you say Indians. However, Suriname belongs to all Surinamese people now, regardless of ethnic background.

  • Sorry, I meant "indigenous"!

    The real Suriname people!

  • Suriname is not a free country, Suriname is a exploited country by the europeans!

The ex-slaves and indigenous doesn't own anythink and they never will!

    Sad but this the trues!

  • Thank you so much for posting this video.

  • The act of stealing something from someone does not make the thief the owner of the particular thing that was stolen. I live in "Brazil" but the land "Brazil" only exist in peoples minds. There are no real borders. It is a convention that "Brasil" belongs to people like me who are descendants of the european stealers but it does not.

I have a profound respect for the descendants of the people who live in america for thousands and thousands and thousands of years in perfect harmony with nature.

  • MY self, I am from suriname, born and raise there... Also mixed wioth native Caraib and I am very proud!!!

Love my Country alot and everytime I see My native people Im more proud!!!

  • where in 0:18 does this native lady get the curly hair from?

  • @CrazyNative4

The original people of South America were Negroid and resembled the indigenous black aborigines of Australia. The oldest human remains in South America are of these Negroid people. They are also known as Negritos and they still exist in Asia. They died out in South America though or blended in. That is why the lady has curly hair. They came by boat. After them, the Polynesians came by boat. Then Asians came by foot from the north and they looked like Indians and then Mongolians.

  • @buddhasknowbest thanx for your reply, and have a fun weekend, even though

    half of it is over!

  • @buddhasknowbest Wow interesting!!

  • I hate to say it... but they are times PEN and PAPER can get you nowhere , To get your message across and make your presence felt, Picking up ARMS is the only way.

  • This language is beautiful i can hear African creole and some patrois i would love to learn it there beautiful people too. great video i hope they gain their rights.

  • nasibe wong jowo suriname la kok podo ajure koyo wong jowo nang indonesia. pancen asu londo iku

  • what language are they speaking in this film? sranang tongo? I hear english creole and dutch words every now and then..

  • they are speaking sranantongo , but they use a lot of dutch words too. and the language of the creoles sounds almost like the surinamese language.

  • My home.

    Mi kondre tru.

    Im so proud.

  • this is a beautiful thing to see iam guyanese and i feel if all the natives tribes stand together something can be done the modern world is hurting their wonderful way of life!

  • @doctorsex19 LONG LIVE GUYANA

  • One of the best videos I have seen on youtube...it's all true and this is why the problems in the world are getting worse. It's because the indigenous people of the earth are not respected when they should be for their knowledge and wisdom...they have been the keepers for centuries. Support native Surinamese!

  • Comment removed

  • u dont kno much about ur own country,do u dino....the american way u refer to,is that indians dont pay taxes...they get protected land, they have their own laws....start learning ur own country's history before u try to comment on others....u will look less stupid

  • they say "we"

    who is "we"? the americans?

  • tavie, the guy says"we" because he is the narrator for the indians,so even tho hes american, hes telling the story of the indians in their eyes,so he says"we"

  • thanks alot for uploading this!! i always like to see such documentaries.

  • wow, great video!! please leave this vid up for as long as u can,,u dont hear much about suriname natives,,,and they say arawak,,im guessing these were the people in the ancient past who migrated to the carribean, then later became the tribe who encountered columbus the lokono of the bahamas and the taino of PR,DR and cuba cuz those people spoke arawak dialects GREAT VID!!!
