lol i have a random question, where did yo uget those pictures of the jackets i would kind of like to play around with them to overlay medals and stuff
I earned 2 arcom,cab,3aam while in Iraq, for some reason i refuse to buy one, when after they gave it to us,they took it back cz they dont have enough in theater,if i ever loose my purple heart i would never get another one cz it's not the same one pinned on me. i'll just keep the "paper" cz its the one that really matter, it shows your Name on it. medals symbolize's something it should'nt be collected by individuals that did'nt earned it.
This medal may be worn by any individual for service in a component of the Armed Forces (including National Guard, State Guard, and Reserve Forces) and by civilian employees of the Government who contributed to the historic victory in the Cold War for any period between the inclusive dates of September 2, 1945 and December 26, 1991.
This medal is intended for use by State Guard organizations, military and patriotic societies, and by private citizens who served during the Cold War. It has been adopted as an official medal of the Military Order of Foreign Wars.
I haven't the time to verify all your medals, but the Cold War Medal displayed at 0:18 is NOT a U.S. military medal. It is one of many, many fantasy commemorative medals that private individuals and companies make. It's not illegal to make fake medals that look like the real thing (not like it is to make fake money that looks real), but a video about U.S. military medals should not contain contain fantasy medals without showing them as such, (IMHO).
wow you kids are amusing. "i have more medals than you" hmmm does it matter. you people are ribbon chasers. by the way i dont know who uses the term MOS but the Navy uses rate for their job and Marines uses MOS for their job. dont know about army or USAF. medals arent about hard to get you can only earn them
@SparklesofUnity we need to tell them to read Michael Tsarion's symbolism research paper then the sheeple will definitely awake and stop wearing or bragging about this "medals"...Egypt "mystery" school (aliens) symbolism ... Horus and Isis are everywhere, indeed...and that explains why we brainwash "soldier" to kill unarmed peaceful civilians the moment they object resource exploitation of their fertile land...(oil, gold, diamond, timber, drug, religion...)
As a member of the active duty U.S. military I disagree. Many of the decorations in the U.S. military are worthless, practically handouts, and many REMFs have two or three bars of ribbons without having distinguished themselves in any way. I think that we should have a medal for FRONT-LINE service in a given war or conflict, long and distinguished service awards and valour decorations. Everything else is superfluous. The German awards system in World War Two was greatly superior.
If you are in the US military you should be aware of this. The late Colonel Hackworth had the agreement of many members of the Army and Air Force when he complained at the lax standards required for example in handing out the Air Medal, which in some cases was handed out for flying a desk or as an incentive to stay on.
@Kampfer1445 ok 1. i never said i was in the army IM 13! my dad was in the army. and navy have an MOS to. MOS is your job. So by you avoiding the question you awere NOT in the navy or army
@Kampfer1445 God bless the warrior class damn the politicians that abuse our willingness to fight anywhere asked and then tell us it is for something righteous and good or it is in defense of our country. It is amazing how easy it is to subdue and pacify a soldier with a ceremony of recognition and a small medal. It is more amazing what a man will do for a small piece of cloth or bragging rights on his uniform. We are the cheapest big business enforcers that can be bought.
I wish we had so many medals in the UK, be blinged out lol.
All we have is one Medal for one tour and one for 12 years good service. Four is all most people get in 22 years if there lucky, where as by american standards they'd have like 10.
I think medals are a good moral booster for people, recognition of a good job really.
I disagree. A number of commentators both within and outside the US military believe that having too many almost meaningless decorations is the reason why serving members often do not greatly respect the uniform. The system in most armies, the UK included is much better; if you have a medal or medals they actually mean something. In the US military the National Defense Service Medal is handed out simply on the basis of having passed basic training and had a rank during a war. Worthless medal.
i dont understand the "collecting" thing... i mean its wrong ,you have to earn the right to own or wear a medal not just go online and buy one from some family who is selling theres because they have no value for the previous owners sacrifice

You assumed that I was in the Army. MOS only applies to the Army and Marine Corps buddy. There is no 'MOS' in the Navy.
