Omg....ur topic is one point I totally agree with u :) my hair is honestly as nappy as urs I use to hate it thus I ave had a perm for as long as I could recall. But recently I have decided to go back to being natural. And guess what I am lovin -3 -3 my naps regardless.

Totally agree with the message. I confess that I react the same way to others who describe their hair as kinky when CLEARLY their hair is full of huge spirals and curls and it would bother me. My hair looks like yours so I feel I learn better from vids like yours and others alike. But you are right when you and AfrikanHairGod say that even tho two heads of hair may look exactly alike does not mean that the hair will react to products and styling the same.

Very good video, I think I might have felt the same way at some point, my hair is kinky but I do see that there are women with hair a lot kinkier than mine, that's what makes being black and natural interesting, the diverisity in our hair is like no other race

love this vid and I agree. I used to get mad when folks would say their hair was nappy when to me it clearly wasn't. I'd be like girl you dont know ISH about some nappy hair! I use to think that straighter was better but now I think natural hair is much better because we have more options. We can wear a bush or we can have curls. We can have a curly bush or we can wear it straight. No one else can do that as easily! Long live the naturalistas! :-)

andre but other folk - started to attach a value system to the numbers. That's when a person who had straight hair, but valued kinky hair decided to call her hair kinky, a person with kinky hair, but valued curly hair wud call her hair curly, etc. People can describe their hair however they like. The problem starts when, based upon their emotions, they give an inaccurate description as part of hair advice and tutorials. This can cause the recipients of this mis-information a lot of trouble.

Hi. I think that people are beginning to spend too much time trying to be politically correct and/or subscribing to a description of their hair based upon their emotions as opposed to what their hair type really is. Personally I admire andre walker because he was able to offer a system, the purpose of which was no more nor any less than to allow a person to read or watch a vid, and have some idea as to whether another's hair was straight, curly, kinky, etc. The problem started when folk - not

@whoissugar Thanks! and yea, I use my former thoughts as the titles of these vids, like "too nappy to go natural" and "I have to wear weave" so I know how it may seem at first look. I've come a lonnnnng way since 09 when I cut my hair lol. Marcus Garvey's quote "Don't remove the kinks from your hair, remove them from your mind" is so dead on because it took me a while to do the latter :)
