When I was 3 years old my father decided we should be there with him. "There" was right "With Him" was totally wrong. Fujiyama was picturesque viewed from our back door in Mimoti Village/ Camp Drake, Japan.
@andredidiergijon Blues are an expression of true suffering in aural media. Bach organ work can make a man cry, just as so many blues guitarists and singers can make a man cry. Universal themes like losing a good woman, or losing a home, or losing a brother all hurt to the core: I beleive one has to suffer in real and meaningful ways to express such pain. One reason guys like Bloomfield sound so stale - for some it is an act. For others an expression of angst that must be released to the world.
this song is incredible, the instrumental and voice are matching perfect, its much better than any other version i have viewed before
this is true art and they will never be forgotten, not like all those pop singers who don't know any bit of music, they only dream about money, but you can see in Albert's eyes that he likes what he does
Stevie Ray must have listened and learned from Albert Collins! The more of Albert's videos I watch, the more I hear trademark Stevie Ray licks. Just goes to show you Stevie Ray wasn't nobody's fool.
I love the sound of his guitar and the way he plays it, so much feeling, that's the blues must be played. I just wonder, I dont understand, why he always use the capo, in many diferent parts of the arm of the guitar. could anyone explain that to me? what is that for?
The capo's there to accentuate the voice. One person may use it and another may not. It all depends on the pitch and tone of a persons voice. We are all blessed with the note of "A" tone in our voice but, the juncture pattern depends upon the person....perhaps more studying might help......just guessing

@shaseiful you dont play the blues like anyone, to play the blues in the right way, you have to put your own feelings in it
andredidiergijon 6 months ago
@andredidiergijon exactly! u have to feel blues. otherwise your notes will sound meaningless

@SmileyGarrish why are you telling me all this?
andredidiergijon 4 months ago
That's funny as hell. Collins was popular in Japan and all over the
world. But not in the Southeastern United States.
Not funny.

@SmileyGarrish One answer is the Reconstruction Era never ended. Another is that politics is almost always about religion, ethnic hatred, or money.
BUT, the real reason is people cannot find "four good bars" to play in. Especially down here.

albert use to play without a bass player and played both bass licks and lead in a combo feel , so he tunes the guitar to a special tunning
thought up by himself, and ,since his early days kept this tunning and uses the capo for
pitch to his voice.
