  • at about 3:00 something he's playing chopin's etude op 10 no.1.

  • can someone tell me whether or not the theme developed around 01:00 is from a song? If so, I would really like to know it's name.

  • Instructive for all pianists and pedagogs

  • Greatest pianist of all the Times .... And to see him playing is so

  • Hard to believe it is just a warm up...

  • if this is the warm up, i would like to see how he actually played that night!

  • There are not many like Cziffra. The more I listen to him the more I adore him. What an amazing talent. If there is a God, part of it resided in his fingers. Oh my.

  • *pay

  • i'd play to get to this warm-up

  • lol nice warm up.

  • If he can't play a piece no-one can - and that's an understatement

  • I think he's somewhat past the Hanon..... :) WOW!!!!

  • "i am finished thank you"

"thank you mr cziffra, it was a pleasure..."

    "..."

"oh, wait, im confused, was this the the warmup or the concert?!?"

  • It is like watching ballet on the keys. He owns the instrument, the keyboard along with everyone of the keys!

  • That's what I do for warm up every day...

  • He has the devil's hands!!!!!!

  • "I am finished, thank you"

Wow, even what he says in the end is magic

  • The most technically proficient pianist I've ever seen..

  • @chendoIs Check out Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli. Much more technically proficient.

  • He has good nonproporcial hands...

  • that is absolutely CRAZY!!!

  • Quando si dice "gli prudevano le dita"...

  • XD già gli pizzicavano un pò!!!

  • He makes it look so easy...

  • Could I ask one more quesion, please? When Cziffra is doing improvization before Chopin Etude C major, is it just his own or based on a certain piece? It sounds like quite a bit of some pieces of Franz Liszt.

    Thank you very much again!

  • Thank you very much for your response! It is a very nice music!

  • Thank you for posting this amazing video!

What is the piece he played after the Chopin Etude? Thank you again!

  • It is a Chopin lieder, transcribed for piano by Liszt and revised heavily by Cziffra called "the Maiden's Wish".
