  • nice music

  • Best ever midi card! :)

  • Out of all the different synthesizers on which I've heard this play on YouTube, I like this version best. I think the overdriven pitch bend gives it a sweet punch!

  • compare this to how crappy it sounds on the sb16!

  • impressive for its time. Doesnt beat the AWE line though.

  • This sounds fantastic, only the pitch bend sensitivity is set WAY too high. lol

  • The portamentos on the synth lead sound different on this module. (Used to playing this MIDI using Windows's built-in GS Wavetable synth.)

However, I like this SC-55 version better. The bass has a "resonance" to it and the electric piano sounds clean. Maybe George Stone used an SC-55 when he originally composed this module?

  • @rjherie George Stone had nothing to do with passport.mid, he only composed Canyon and that's it.

  • @singinglawnchair If it wasn't Stone, then who really composed passport.mid?

  • @rjherie No one really knows for sure, I can only assume someone else from Passport Designs (simply from the file name). But someone has contacted George Stone (not me, someone else on another video) and asked him about passport.mid, he claims he has nothing to do with it.

  • I think there aren't equipments on which this song sounds bad. On every synth (OPL3, Roland Sound Canvas, Sound Blaster AWE64, ESS-186x, etc...) this sounds good. A little masterpiece of music.

  • Wow, this sounds really nice {Way better then the Emulator Vista comes with} But I'm afraid I'm gonna have to introduce you to Mr.AWE64 on my channel...
