Guys, this is right before the tour had to be postponed because Eddie needed medical help. There is no evidence of what he was treated for, but one can assume he fell off the wagon. Luckily, he came back 100% on April 19th. Check out any show from that date on and you'll see what I mean.

In the old times he used to take crappy things of 20 bucks a piece and with that, he could create beautiful sounds. Now: he has his own custom shit and maybe, he doesn't realize that you don't need all that expensive shit, just to have a good sound. His sound with the peavey 5150 II was better I think.

If I'm no mistaking, he went back on a big alcohol binge during the reunion tour with DLR and this video was filmed during that time. It's very obvious he's drunk in this video. It has nothing to do with him geting "old" and slow. He's drunk.
I guess he's back off the stuff again and doing well, but he has this off and on relationship with booze and it's VERY CLEAR he's hammered in this video.

C'mon!!! This is real, and it's freakin sad as all hell. Look I am the biggest VH fan ever, seriously... but Eddie is a shell of his old self. If you listen to his solo on the Live Without A Net show? Un-Freakin-Believable. I saw them on this tour last time around, and he did a solo and it was nowhere NEAR as horrible as this. This was sad and painful to watch, seriously.

He just had a little trouble with his tremelo picking. That type of picking can work great one day and the next day is hard to do. It's easy to have an off day with. Still I think he worked thru it well.

Guys, this is right before the tour had to be postponed because Eddie needed medical help. There is no evidence of what he was treated for, but one can assume he fell off the wagon. Luckily, he came back 100% on April 19th. Check out any show from that date on and you'll see what I mean.

Geez.... he used to be 10 times better than this. In the 80's his solo's used to be 10-15 minutes long.. He really gets too old for this kind of shit...
In the old times he used to take crappy things of 20 bucks a piece and with that, he could create beautiful sounds. Now: he has his own custom shit and maybe, he doesn't realize that you don't need all that expensive shit, just to have a good sound. His sound with the peavey 5150 II was better I think.
