for christs sake dude if you're going to play music like that use an electric bass, or atleast get accustomed to an acoustic so you don't end up hearing a bunch of scratching and unwanted noise pollution. otherwise nice playing but sounds like shit on that instrument.
Fuck all you lame ass haters. All you can do is talk shit and whine and you're just making yourselves look sorry. "What an asshole that kid is for trying to learn something!" You're off to a good start. Keep practicing, and forget about these nerds. I f they had anything better to offer the world, they wouldn’t be sitting around trying to bring people on utube. Get on with your bad self, at least you're trying to do something!
all you people with acoustic bass's are making me reconsider getting one, cuz I've yet to see a video where one is sounding/played good, maybe its just the bass?
not bad. I don't think your bass sounds out of tune at all, I think that's just the tone that it has. Though, when playing acoustic, play softer (like don't hit the strings and frets so hard) and you won't get all that clicking and slapping sound.
One of the main reasons I dont put videos of myself playing on youtube is even if you are an incredible musician people will still bash you and most of the people who bash have no idea what they are talken about, and I doubt most have even picked up ANY instrument. We all gota start somewhere and people are just to ignorant these days.
Anyways man good job fuck everyone else, nice bass too.
dude this is nothing like cello.i play the guitar bass violin and cello. this has really nothing in common with the cello. not the same strings. it has the same strings as a double bass.
Wow the ignorance of some people... it's jazz, that's right JAZZ not the mainstream BS that's around today and people can't recognize the said... sad really... it deserves much more
i bet its just the bass' natural sound... ibanez makes a good ELECTRIC bass, i've tried out acoustic ones atguitar center and they arent anything special
acoustic bass is a lot different than electric and it takes a lot of talent to do. the string are much farther away from the bass but yea everyone's right you kinda do suck. sorry man get better than post a vid
can you play on the acoustic bass without the amp ??? i want to know if it sounds like a acoustic guitar.....so...do you need amp or not?? i want to buy these one...
Nah man, its just like an acoustic Guitar, just don't use a pick less you want to. I'm looking for one also, but don't buy it online, make sure you go into the store and play em and pick the one you really like the sound of, cause if you don't, your gonna be wishin you did
or at least try one out at the store and then buy it online.
They sound good with or without the amp, only a bit quiet when you play with your fingers amp-less.
If you are gonna play by yourself, to pre-recorded music (like a CD), or other acoustic guitars (if they aren't too loud), then you will be fine without the amp. If you are gonna play with electric guitars (unless their volume is way down) and/or drums, then you will need the amp.
yeah ive been playing bass for 4-5 months and i was at guitar center and decided to try a guitar it does feel small at first but to me guitar was very simple because it is alot easier to hold down the strings than it is on a bass
You definitely need bigger and stronger hands than guitarists to play bass. If you feel more comfortable on guitar then play guitar. But it doesn't mean you have to quit Bass!
I got the Ibanez EWB205WNE-NT it looks mostly like yours but with frets. You need a lot of pressure to make it sound clean. A lot more than on my electric bass.
bass to me is a little bigger, and the frets around the nut are pretty gapped (cause im used to guitar) but either one, is a blast to just jam-out on :D
you guys are really overthinking it. They are both guitars. If you teach yourself how to play the electric guitar the bass should be very easy to pick up, and vice versa. But I understand what you mean by the guitar feeling cluttered after learning bass first.

An amplified acoustic bass still sounds pretty good if you have good enough electronics. This bass has fishman and they failed me about a month in and I don't know why. Everyone should start with either an ibanez soundgear electric or a fender jazz or precision bass. If you're serious about bass, don't screw around with squire and all of that. Get a standard, around 500 bucks, and it will last you a long time.
