  • guitars r made to be plucked like that guys thats wat i learned ;D and dont be afraid to play loud its fin

  • fretless? it's not fretless oO

  • @kaiseringen it is so obviously fretless when he slides...

  • @raredemons ok thx XD

  • nice jam there

  • Still better than what I could do.

  • there's no synchronism with picking and the fingers

  • That is a gorgeous bass.

  • lol. that sucked.

  • que porquer* es eso?

  • This is not good

  • no entendi lo que quiciste hacer ponte a ensayar mas

  • My guitar is the same only it's a normal acoustic and not a bass, still, it kinda hurts to see someone play on it like that... xD

  • for christs sake dude if you're going to play music like that use an electric bass, or atleast get accustomed to an acoustic so you don't end up hearing a bunch of scratching and unwanted noise pollution. otherwise nice playing but sounds like shit on that instrument.

  • I have the exact same bass. Ibanez EWB. Her name's Isabella, and she smells like cupcakes.

  • stop slapin ur strings Jesus Christ. Its an acoustic

  • anda a hacerte culiar

  • lame

  • понтов полно а играть вобще не умеешь. набор диких звуков!

  • hey dude, quick question, is that an ibanez? got a guitar just like it, same corpus etc... however, check out "micotte - up & down"

    cheers

  • This would sound fine on an electric bass, but not an acoustic.

  • Keep it up, man. And maybe consider spending more time practicing with a metronome...

  • @trashculture THIS.... is the kind of comment that is needed!

I didnt like the way you played the bass, but I like the smooth funky sound ''hingstler'' plays...(check him up)!

But remember the phrase "practice makes perfect"!

  • Where is that hitting sound coming from?

  • U SUCKSSSSSSS

  • Are you playing that thing or beating it up?

  • Please devote your time to developing a love for the music itself, not just the idea of being able to play an instrument.

  • what the heck was that?!

  • eh, you're abusing the pentatonic scale. then again, i do the same thing lol. nice btw

  • Fuck all you lame ass haters. All you can do is talk shit and whine and you're just making yourselves look sorry. "What an asshole that kid is for trying to learn something!" You're off to a good start. Keep practicing, and forget about these nerds. I f they had anything better to offer the world, they wouldn’t be sitting around trying to bring people on utube. Get on with your bad self, at least you're trying to do something!

  • chicken scratches.... fuck you for doing that to that beautiful bass...

  • Man, such a good bass... but you need a lot more practice

  • hahahhahahahaha Oh My GOD, how many chords do you need on a week?

  • hahahhahahahaha Oh My GOD, how many chords do you need on a week?

  • If anyone didn't know how to play the blues scale on one string, you just taught them.

  • all you people with acoustic bass's are making me reconsider getting one, cuz I've yet to see a video where one is sounding/played good, maybe its just the bass?

  • ???????????

  • That was horrible

  • Is it plugged in or just plain old acoustic? o_O

  • PROOF MUSICIANS GET LAID. if u notice before he gets on the bed a nice pink pair of panties

  • @BLEACH01Z

    Unless those are his panties.

  • i took a dump on a snare drum once it sounded similar

  • @RcUniverseGuy

To quote Adam Sandler in Air Heads "I ain't fartin' on no snare drum."

  • @magicmark1292 hahaaha yea

  • No melody, no timing... no groove...hitting random stuff doesn't count as 'jam'

  • @CherryConcrete leave "melody" to 6 string cats...

  • @ShawnyMartin

Should I also leave phrasing, notes and charmony to 6-string cats ? Those 3 are a part of melody after all.

  • If you seell it...i'll buy it..but please dont play it. Nice Bass guitar dude.

  • not bad. I don't think your bass sounds out of tune at all, I think that's just the tone that it has. Though, when playing acoustic, play softer (like don't hit the strings and frets so hard) and you won't get all that clicking and slapping sound.

  • get that thing tuned and get a dr count

  • you have no sense of timing

  • the melody sounds good but the bass makes a lot of noice

  • dude please re-record this when inspiration really hits you

  • very nice... it should have more likes... 4,5/5

  • nice painting

  • I don't know why everyone is hating on you. Its just jamming. BTW love your bass man

  • One of the main reasons I dont put videos of myself playing on youtube is even if you are an incredible musician people will still bash you and most of the people who bash have no idea what they are talken about, and I doubt most have even picked up ANY instrument. We all gota start somewhere and people are just to ignorant these days.

Anyways man good job fuck everyone else, nice bass too.

  • wtf?

  • I hate stock strings but nice bass playen

  • I like this. Why does this have so many dislikes? Ignore these people and continue doing what you do.

  • beautiful bass but it seems to have picked up too much access volume. so it sounded a little tinggy but still very good. i liked the sound.

  • Fuck wut everyone is saying... If u feel happy n right keep playing man... Gud Video dude.. way to play with soul...

  • Nice bass got a lovely tune to it...and ignore that comment u should keep playing lol!

    What make is it?

  • ole ole eres un fenomeno k arte eres un valiente

  • yeah i bet the bass sounds as good as it looks.. but you need to learn how to play..

    this is just embarrasing !

  • what the hell

  • Dude, weak.

  • Nothing special about it. Why you show it on you tube? But... your hair is cool!

  • i think its pretty good but needs some polishing on the playing a bit

  • pretty good. i like that guitar. What model is it? is it 34" scale or 36?

  • lame.. bad jam.. but cool bass..

  • so bad! shit! the poor ibanez!

  • hey what the hell is that !

things like that should be forbidden on youtube...

  • dude this is nothing like cello.i play the guitar bass violin and cello. this has really nothing in common with the cello. not the same strings. it has the same strings as a double bass.

  • Watch the intonation..

  • i think u are better then me.....

but u pull the strings fucking hard..and ur not the master of puppets..also i can hear u bass screaming but ur skill is keyl :D

  • Suhlappa' da' baess, big tiyem.

  • jam!!!,,,bull shit yeah

  • Sexy bass, where'd you get it?

  • it is it just has lines to show where frets would be.

  • Yeah, often when a guitar is fretless, the fret markings are still there so if you are kinda new to it, one would know where he is playing, :)

  • god that bass is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen

  • mejor dedícate a sembrar coliflores

  • mejor dedicate a sembrar coliflores=better devote yourself to grow cauliflowers? what in the world does that mean?

  • it's like: "stop playing bass and do some other thing"

    btw very nice bass

  • Oh. Huh. Quite a way to say it, bringing up cauliflower and all. Thanks for the compliment; it is a nice bass.

  • @jonrod2 hes saying you suck put down the bass and become a farmer instead of a musician... i dont agree tho! keep on practicing!

  • not bad. Nice playing. I'll give you credit.

  • @jcbass elooo!

  • Comment removed

  • sounds like ur doodling around man plug it up man!

  • this jam is like shit

  • The kid's not that bad at all, and he's playing in a very cool vein.

Given that taste trumps talent, this video is better than 4/5 of the bullshit improv recordings you'll hear on youtube.

  • preach it bro!!!!!

  • Sounds like you have roundwounds? Am I right?

  • Its sounds fine yous bitches xD awesome =]

  • Bass is not out of tune it's fretless so not so precise in tone as You are used to hear.

Also not fretless as You are used to see. This bass has fret slots and are filled wit some brighter material and sanded to fingerboard level.

  • Wow the ignorance of some people... it's jazz, that's right JAZZ not the mainstream BS that's around today and people can't recognize the said... sad really... it deserves much more

  • learn how to properly fret a fretless bass lol

  • these ppl are obviously biased as they fail to recognize an exellent jazz bass solo. good job.

  • epic fail

  • not a fan

  • tune your bass first

  • its a fretless its ok if its sounds out of tune

  • eww

  • its a jam man..

    : /

  • very nice, beautiful instrument too.

  • your fretless bass has frets

  • no, it has fret markers.

  • I think the bass or the person play it is out of tune ???

  • i bet its just the bass' natural sound... ibanez makes a good ELECTRIC bass, i've tried out acoustic ones atguitar center and they arent anything special

  • practice!) ill be wainting for new jams;)

  • dude your bass has frets how much did you drop on it ?

  • i threw up on my keyboard after the first 10 seconds.. GARBAGE..

  • dude, seriously, he's pretty good. i don't play bass, i play guitar, but i still thinks he's good:)

  • i think he shows a great ignorance to music theory.

  • keep practice men !

  • horrible

  • keep practicing man, it's not that bad

  • Meu, se non tocas ben non subas vídeos!!

O baixo é precioso, iso si.

  • i agree with

    LoveSponge07

  • sounds like a europian shitting his pants in a nostril

  • i cant find any ew that has five strings an fretless with that colour

  • Nice acoustic bass! Are all acoustic bass guitars fretless or what, I can't find any with frets.

  • almost all acoustic basses have frets

  • I know, just like guitars but I just don't see them very often on Youtube.

  • Nice bass man! I didn't really get the melody or rythem in the video, and the bass sounds kinda out of tune!

  • im thinking of buying one like that

I really like the cutaway from the ew series

  • great....you have talent, just you need more practice

  • acoustic bass is a lot different than electric and it takes a lot of talent to do. the string are much farther away from the bass but yea everyone's right you kinda do suck. sorry man get better than post a vid

  • wow

    you really suck

  • i kinda just found out about bass acoustics... sweet!

  • poor mate really poor you sound like my little brother hahaha

  • you too.

  • nice bass

  • eadgb or beadg?

  • dude, awsome...tabs?

  • can you play on the acoustic bass without the amp ??? i want to know if it sounds like a acoustic guitar.....so...do you need amp or not?? i want to buy these one...

  • Nah man, its just like an acoustic Guitar, just don't use a pick less you want to. I'm looking for one also, but don't buy it online, make sure you go into the store and play em and pick the one you really like the sound of, cause if you don't, your gonna be wishin you did

  • or at least try one out at the store and then buy it online.

They sound good with or without the amp, only a bit quiet when you play with your fingers amp-less.

If you are gonna play by yourself, to pre-recorded music (like a CD), or other acoustic guitars (if they aren't too loud), then you will be fine without the amp. If you are gonna play with electric guitars (unless their volume is way down) and/or drums, then you will need the amp.

But the point it: basses are awesome!

  • Boo

  • yeah ive been playing bass for 4-5 months and i was at guitar center and decided to try a guitar it does feel small at first but to me guitar was very simple because it is alot easier to hold down the strings than it is on a bass

  • You definitely need bigger and stronger hands than guitarists to play bass. If you feel more comfortable on guitar then play guitar. But it doesn't mean you have to quit Bass!

  • i think a good and clean structure of a song is more important than how many notes youre playing...

try it a bit slower but cleaner

    good 3*

  • is that a laguna? i had one but the bridge was cracked so i returned it and got a breedlove.

  • Nice work! You kind of look like Jesse Lacey from brand new

  • Nice Jam!

I got the Ibanez EWB205WNE-NT it looks mostly like yours but with frets. You need a lot of pressure to make it sound clean. A lot more than on my electric bass.

  • a guitar us my instrument of choice :D

bass to me is a little bigger, and the frets around the nut are pretty gapped (cause im used to guitar) but either one, is a blast to just jam-out on :D

  • Nice vid, I don't get how bass players do it, its way harder for me than guitar, tried a friends, epicly failed but

  • Thats because you're a guitar player.

Give me a guitar and I'm just as lost as you are on a bass. I'm used to big strings and huge frets, for me a guitar is cluttered.

  • i can do a bit of guitar....likee the 1 note song...but the strings ar tiny.....

  • you guys are really overthinking it. They are both guitars. If you teach yourself how to play the electric guitar the bass should be very easy to pick up, and vice versa. But I understand what you mean by the guitar feeling cluttered after learning bass first.

  • Its the technique that is different, plus a bass is a groove instrument 90% of the time. Its not meant to be played like a guitar all the time, there is some chording elements on a bass that you can do, but its not something you do all the time. I play both the bass and the guitar, but I primarily play the bass as I find my hands more accustomed to it. I have pretty big hands so playing a guitar is a bit difficult for me sometimes trying to get my hands in a weird chord shape.

  • Even if you had small hands, if you played your bass most of the time, you would naturally be used to playing the bass, not the guitar. For my age, I have huge hands, and I play electric and string (upright) bass. I've played the electric more, so the scale length of the double bass is hard to get. Rather annoying without frets... and yes, I have the same problems with playing the guitar as you do.

  • ur good dude, nice guitar:D

i'm gonna buy a ibanez AEB8E next thursday, cant wait.....

  • old man's fart

  • Ouch...

  • play with more emotion

  • nice job, could you advise a starter bass to get im thinking of getting an acoustic since i like to play anywhere will playing an amplified acoustic bass rob my sound? thx

  • An amplified acoustic bass still sounds pretty good if you have good enough electronics. This bass has fishman and they failed me about a month in and I don't know why. Everyone should start with either an ibanez soundgear electric or a fender jazz or precision bass. If you're serious about bass, don't screw around with squire and all of that. Get a standard, around 500 bucks, and it will last you a long time.

  • yah if your talking about seriously getting a real nice acoustic, go for a michael kelly.

  • my cousin plays bass and i play acoustic guitar. we're workin on a little acoustic band but i really wish he'd invest in an acoustic bass.

  • dude, I want an acoustic bass!

  • nice playing. i got a fretless bass- looks like you have fret lines on there- is there a line indication of some sort?

  • It came with the fret lines. And I don't know what you mean by "line indication", unless you're asking if I put the lines on myself.
