  • also heres another tip when your doing your scorpian drop your chest and pull your leg it will look even prettier than how you are doing it now :) great job

  • Ohk so heres some pointers. When you luft that leg up lift it more like your peing on a fire hydrent. As if yu were a dog. And wrap it around. If your already flexible this will only make ur right arm sore for a couple of days. Other than that ur great better than mine atm

  • Woww!! you are really good. i learned how to do the scorpion not to long ago!! I can see my foot when i do it!! i do it for gymnastics though, not cheer.

  • @hstoddard24 erm, no. well you stand on one leg for a lib so yea i know that ^o) gawwd. but it doesn't matter which leg! it depends on what leg the flyer wants to fly on or what leg they balance on better/stretch better. and the entire stunt group doesn't have to change positions.. :S they can stay where they are? all that really changes are the two main bases who has the main grip and the burger grip. freshman.. im not american but im guessing freshman means 'new'. enough said.

  • @hstoddard24 there is no 'wrong' leg! it doesn't matter what leg you use! there is no rule against it! read every rule book from competitions! godd. it annoys me when people like you say that there's supposed to be a 'right' leg. and im a cheerleader aswell so HA.

  • @rachrawr09 ya but when your in your liberties your always standing on your right leg so i she was on a team chances are her coach would probabley make her learn it again on her let foot and if she was a flyer her whole team would have a left leg scorp and she wouldnt and judges would probabley deduct points im a allstar cheerleader to and i had that exact same bad habbit of doing a right leg scorp and my coach made me learn again so its best for this girl to get rid of that problem quickly

  • @rachrawr09 bahaha. yeah there is. when you do a lib, you are only allowed to use one leg, or the entire stunting group would have to change positions, and i'm a freshman on varsity, pretttty sure i know what im doing. just trying to give you advice...so calm down kiddo

  • coming from a cheerleader....you are pulling it wrong. you pull up with one hand and grab with the other once you are in the scorpion dont pull up with both hands together

  • @krazykimberley What I did was to do back stretches and doing the bridge helps me I do that before I do the scorpian and it helps for me to stretch out my back but definatly stretch before you do this. It helps greatly. Hopefully this helps :)

  • Ok when your doing it try not to bend your back as much you'll strain your self and won't be able to breath and when you want to craddle you'll prong out and hit somebody that's if your a flyer but ur pretty good

    this is coming from a competitive dancer so idk how you cheerleaders do it and stuff, but in dance you gotta keep your hip down , so since your lifting your right leg u have to keep ur hip down.. itll be challening to get but then when you keep practicing itll have much better technique and your body will get used to the 'hip down feeling'

  • that's good for your first try!!!! if you want to do it quicker, try placing your right hand on the outside of your right foot and pulling up and over. Good job, though

    Are you even in cheerleading or gymnastics?

    I mean I get it if you're in gymnastics because we aren't supposed to show emotion, but if you're in cheer...well you just don't look happy or peppy enough to be honest.

  • thats pretty good for ur first try but i would suggest trying to pull it abouve your head not to it. that was way better than mine on my first try and i couldnt even teach my self my friend taught me.

  • don't pull it to your head. pull it above. once you get it like as far as it can stretch above your head, im pretty sure there's a stretch that like you hold your knee and your leg is straight so just hole your ankle. really good though :] like seriously
