i don't think there ain't any other guitarist who can fill up his solo spot, entertain and excite the crowd all at the same time the way Ed does (well Jimmy page is the other exception), almost all the other great guitarists IMHO really feel the strain when put on the spotlight, as if they wanted the their solo spot to end as quickly as possible before they run out of ammo, whereas Ed feels just right at home and could go on all night long if wanted to.

From what ive been told, thats how he plays the tapping on the guitar-but then again im not 100% sure...

well, you see...when a musicianly fellow takes multiple songs and squishifies them together as one piece, he gets what is called, by definition, a "medley", and as sir edward seems to be playing alone it's called a "solo". HENCE!!...a medley of his solos;) Take care sir, unt god bless.
