  • So... The Tibetian government in exile is nothing more than a bunch of feudal exiles grouped with religious and nationalistic folk, raging against machine and global culture. But their stupidity is rather pointless. The region nowadays is rather lucky, receiving huge investments and privileges from the Chinese government, which would bring smooth development to it.

  • the railways are used for mostly passengers because they simply make more money from tourism than mining. railways are designed to improve transportation to tibet.if it gets blown up, china get access tibet through airplane or high way. independence will never ever happen because tibet is too valueble to just surrender without a fight.no country is willing to risk losing 1 billion people over tibet. those who will are either nuts or living with dalai lama. foolish morrons

  • @eastern2western

Tibet's railway was constructed to LOOT Tibet's proven deposits of 126 minerals, and significant share of the world's reserves in lithium, chromite, copper, borax, and iron.

FREE Tibet and East Turkestan from LOOTING

  • u do know that a lot of the victims during 2008 were hui muslims. if tibet and east turkestan ever become independent regions, the first thing that is going to occur is a war between the muslims in turkestan and the lamas in tibet. stop taking crack and read some the ideas behind islam and you will realize why xinjiang has restrictions in its religion.

  • @eastern2western

Buddhists tend to be non-violent. CCTV claimed 13 innocent people died in 2008 and that will include Tibetans.

    #

Tibetans and Falun Gong are VICTIMS of a FASCIST regime prepared to do very NASTY things like LIVE Organ Harvesting to stay in power.

Do you support LIVE Organ Harvesting of innocent Falun Gong practitioners ??

  • all living beings are capable of violence. great power leads to great corruptions. in the name of spreading christianity, europeans went all over the world wiping out indiginous population. it is well known for centuries that tibetans lamas fough the hui muslim for control of the territories. islam extremist is not any better because they are famously well known for some of the most infamous terrorist groups in the world.

  • @eastern2western

Did HHDL get 84+ prizes (including a Nobel prize) from around the World for being VIOLENT ??

    I don't think so.

  • from 1959-1972, dalai had received 1.2 million dollars to raise his little army of terrorists. once the fund stopped, dalai lama changed his stance from independence to autonomy and started sending his tibetans boys to the indian army to fight against the pakis. yeah, none violence my ass.

  • @eastern2western

If you want to call the Tibetan Freedom Fighters terrorists you also have to call the evil communist party TERRORISTS because they oppress by fear and violence. Check your dictionary if you like.

terrorize = oppress by fear, violence

To see communist party violence in Tibet please watch

China's Brutality in Tibet EXPOSED ! (7:37 minutes)

    watch?v=PqjC9Wa3sxE

  • yes they are both terrorists, but chinese communist party is much bigger and has more money.trust me, I am not a cpc lover, but I also have major problems of some of the speakers of this video. one guy claimed that buddhism did not survive in china, but thrive in tibet is complete bs.a lot of them really do not have any clues of what they are talking about and making up lies as they go along.

  • @eastern2western

Tibetans are still keen on Buddhism. Is Buddhism suppressed in China ?

    #

Do you support FREEDOM for Chinese ??

Do you support FREEDOM for Tibetans ??

  • @HumanRightsVideosT I support democracy in china, but not lies.

  • it is laughably funny that when that guy said the communist killed buddhism in china and it survived in tibet. what a complete crock of bs. buddhism is the most popular religion in china. it is the tibetan lammaeism which is very different from buddhism.

  • @eastern2western

But Falun Gong was expanding so rapidly in China the communist party got desperate and started Persecuting Falun Gong.

    FREE Chinaaaaaa and Tibetttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • They have been imprisoned allegedly for “subverting state power” when actually they have been giving voice to the Tibetan identity and cultural heritage. Such repressive measures undermine unity and stability. Likewise, in China, The lawyers defending people’s rights and freedoms, independent writers and human rights activists have been arrested. I strongly urge the Chinese leaders to review these developments and release these prisoners of conscience forthwith.

  • The Chinese government frequently states that stability and development inside Tibet is the foundation for its long-term well-being. However, the authorities still station imense numbers of troops all across Tibet, increasing restrictions on the Tibetan people. Tibetans live in constant fear and anxiety. More recently, many Tibetan intellectuals, public figures and environmentalists have been punished for articulating the Tibetan people’s basic aspirations.

  • This is a system of knowledge which is governed by reason and logic and has the potential to contribute to the peace and happiness of all beings. Therefore, the policy of undermining such a culture, instead of protecting and developing it, will in the long run amount to the destruction of humanity’s common heritage.

  • The PRC is a country comprising many nationalities, enriched by a diversity of languages and cultures. Protection of the language and culture of each nationality is a policy of the PRC, which is clearly spelt out in the chinese constitution. Tibetan is the only language to preserve the entire range of the Buddha’s teachings, including the texts on logic and theories of knowledge (epistemology), which we inherited from India’s Nalanda University.

  • all these 'activists' r so gay.. all these minerals were there for years and all these people were doing were milking yaks .. now someone comes in and bring them roads and railways and modern civilised life.. and still they r not understanding..

  • all these 'activists' r so gay..

  • no country in the world is willing to get into conflict with china over tibet. stop dreaming kids

  • The only way tibet gets independence is if China nationally and politically collapses and with the way China is economically developing that possibility won't occur, barring a war, for a few generations and by that time China will have fully culturally assimilated tibet.

The people in this video are pursuing a lost cause.

  • @lukebccb

No empire lasts forever my friend.

Perhaps they don't teach that in history classes in China.

  • The people interviewed in this video are naive beyond belief. They're dreaming if they believe they'll ever get geopolitical support. For starters India barely tolerates their political activities in India for the simple reason India has BIG separatists issues of her own that China can exploit so India looks upon tibetan political activitiy was extreme concern.

There ain't one single nation-state THAT COUNTS that wants anything to do with getting involved in Chinese internal affairs.

  • @lukebccb

The US speaks out about human rights in China.

    FREE Chinaaaaa and Tibettttttttttttt

  • The Chinese took a look at what the english did in North America (Canada and U.S.A at least) and Australia and New Zealand; which was to take the indigenous peoples and force upon them english to "homogenize" them with the white populace and bring them into the "majority" culture of "western civilization".

Thus the Chinese have a model they are following and doing that in Tibet.

If the english can do why can't the Chinese?

  • some one please inform the exiles that the railway is not the only method of transporation to tibet. in addition to tibet, the chinese has highway and airplane access to tibet.

  • @eastern2western

Correct. Roads were constructed to take gold and silver statues and trees back to China.

    #

But the airports aren't much use to Tibetans trying to ESCAPE from the 2nd largest PRISON in the World.

  • bunch of fucken retards making comments on a place that never stepped a foot in and on topics that they are not specialized in.

  • @eastern2western

Have you EVER talked to a Tibetan from Tibet who was free to speak out ??

    # #

Or a Falun Gong practitioner who has ESCAPED from Chinaa ??

  • all human beings are capable of violence. tibetans lams or buddhists are bunch politicians too.

  • this is definitely fair and balanced, because half of the interviews were with exiles, and the rest with the chinese, right? lol

  • We have no problem with the Chinese people but we want free Tibet. I have no problem with you but I want to cutoff your head. Tell me it is a different logic. Chinese government is a thug in human rights records. You transformed it into a hero of unity and stability in the eyes of Chinese citizens. Thank you! Because of that, people automatically relate human rights with free tibet and ally with the government. You destroyed human rights struggles in China because of your selfish interests.

  • I have little hope of reaching a negotiated solution with the Chinese government. My trust in that government is very thin, because the whole communist political system is based on lies and hypocrisy. The local authorities lie to the regional leaders, who lie to Beijing, who then broadcasts those lies to the rest of the world!"

His Holiness The Dalai Lama, France, June 2009

  • The chance of China leaving Tibet is about as slim as Israel leaving East Jeruslem to the Palestinians. It will never happen.

  • tibet has alots of cobalt, used in lithium ion battery and hybird cars. if china decides to extract them, exiles has ZERO chance to return. it is not just money (china is never short of). commanding strategic reserve is the order of the day.

  • Please go to blame capitalism!

  • C'mon, guys! This is a joke!

China has 55 ethnic minority groups and total 123 million minority people. The total of Tibetans (5 million) and Uyghurs (7 million) is just 12 miilion or less than 10% of the total minority. The interesting question is:

Why this less than 10% minority are so fiercely suppressed as accused by the Western media while the rest 90% minorities are living happily in China? You should ask your American CIA daddy!

  • This is because all other minorities are also suppressed by the Han Chinese. The entire Han Chinese is also suppressed by the western world for their native language and culture as they are learning western languages and technologies. The western world is also suppressed. Not by others but by itself. By its own vision and belief. Their own vision and belief is also suppressed. by arrogance and prejudice. At last, arrogance and prejudice is originated from ignorance that describes us all.

  • This is simply a fucking western propaganda against China.

Did anyone mention American CIA and its front organizations have pumped $50 million into "Free Tibet" business every year? C'mon, some one has to ask where these money for these Tibetan exiles are coming from!

    Shame on Al Jazeera!

  • "Killing the language, killing the culture"?

    What a joke!

Tibetan culture have been properly perserved as it deserved, especially as compared to any other minority cultures in the world!

You have to ask yourself where is the cultures of indigenous people in America, Okinawa, Australia, New Zealand, ...? Why these moderniazation happened there?

China governmnet have done great job to perserve its minority cultures even the minorities don't want to perserve its culture themsleves.

  • Look at what happen to the cultures of Tibteans in India. "Miss Tibet" did come out from Lhasa, "Miss Tibet" and her modern westernized makeups on her face comes out from Dalai Lama's exit camp in Dharamsala, north India. Indianized rock-and-roll pop music didn't happen in Lhasa, it happened in Dalai's Dharamsala exit camp in India!

  • Jung Chang's book; Wild Swans (which happens to be banned in China) really opened my eyes about how the Chinese goverment works. Her family as well as her suffered tremendously under Mao's brutal regime. It seems the Han chinese are reapping all the benefits.

  • very fuckin true. thanks for covering Lhasa.

  • if aljareeza decides to be a voice of the tibet lobby, then at least it should stop feigning to be giving an unbiased analysis of the tibet situation - i only hear one voice here.

  • I am extremely happy, those in exile will never return to Tibet. Without them Tibet is better place to live. I have been to Tibet and people are really enjoying their lives there and pay no attention to politics. Personally I don"t support a religion dictator like dalai lama. It is no good for real Tibetan people. Those in exile are just like any politicians in the world. Only thing matters to them is power and power.

  • your views dragun and nick are not shared by many more people; most of them highly educated and familiar with this situation.

  • the dali lama should give up his political ambitions. Greed is not a good thing

  • the lama is a scam!!!
