The cop should have had training in the Academy in constitutional law among other laws of the state.
Something should have gone off in his pea brain that something wasn't right and he should have called a supervisor if he really wasn't sure.
He was just following orders.
The citizens should sue him personally as he was acting outside the bounds of his sworn office (The officer) and was here there on official business or hired as a gun toting thug by Chabot?
i get my law from no where, this is politics and public officials will do what they want, problem is when democrats do it, no one says anything but god forbid a republican do it, as i said before about town hall meetings when it comes to that idiot Obama, his audience was hand picked and was given specific questions to ask. now if you want to speak about speeches and cameras, there have been several democrats have meeting with no cams allowed and got away with it, nuf said
well is the one giving the speech does not want personal cameras in the room, that's his/her right. i mean take a look at the democrats, hand picking people for their speeches and town hall things and not letting the real general public into these events, so who is censoring who? huh ?
@kimberfm No its not a right, he is a public official on public business. I'm not sure where you get your info about law from but he can and will be filmed when he is in public no matter how he feels about it. That's the chance you take when you go out into a public area or to a place that is funded by tax payers. I don't care if they are republican or democrat, lets stop making excuses for people because "the other side did it". Two wrongs don't make a right. The left/right arguments don't work
Every time it's brought to light that a police officer doesn't know the law or the constitution he or she should be immediately fired from their job. You wouldn't have so many cops stealing cameras and skateboards and acting like dickheads if they knew they'd lose their job for not knowing how to do it.
Here's something you may not know:
STEVE CHABOT CO-SPONSORED SOPA!
Entertainment Industry lobbyists must be treating this guy VERY WELL for him to stab his constituents in the back... Way to go, Chabot!
