Some observers can perceive logic correctly, and some incorrectly, but the truth stays the same. So logic is not human. 1 + 1 = 2 is a true logical statement. @blattt188 Like I said I am a Janitor. Among other buildings, I clean two Christian churches. I am like a fly on the wall, so I see what goes on behind the scenes. Yes, the church gives to the poor.. well they get the community to pool their cans of creamed corn to give to bums, so that's nice. In one church, I saw the finance statement in the office. The minister makes $120,000/ year plus expenses. The church is not even very big. So I can imagine what some others make in big markets.

I don't understand why Tim Conway says you have to humble yourself. In other videos he seems to suggest you don't have to do anything, but in this one you do have to do something. Which is it?
It seems like saying you have to reach a point of despair before God will save you. Why can't God just save you whether you're despairing or not?

A@L, I have mulled over the same idea in my mind. The one thing that came to my mind was, if I knew the past, present and future, does that mean I control outcome? Not really, I simply know. It may give me some advantage or power, but if God makes us love Him, then how can that be true love at all, if there is no free will? I heard that he is a calvinist. I am not a calvinist. I like Tim's teachings on holiness, Lordship Salvation and the likes. Thank You freind for reminding me about Matthew 28. Matthew 28 tells us to make disciples and I believe as deisciples we are to shine our lights in front of men and glorify our Father in heaven. A person will repent if they truly trust in Christ's death to save them (because God drew them to Himself), but it's not their own doing. God is the one who changes their life by His grace, so thus 100% glory is still deserving to God.

Some observers can perceive logic correctly, and some incorrectly, but the truth stays the same. So logic is not human. 1 + 1 = 2 is a true logical statement. Observe the bible and ask whether the statements within are true logical statements. The answers come up no no no no if you are honest and not afraid of the threats within.

@blattt188 Like I said I am a Janitor. Among other buildings, I clean two Christian churches. I am like a fly on the wall, so I see what goes on behind the scenes. Yes, the church gives to the poor.. well they get the community to pool their cans of creamed corn to give to bums, so that's nice. In one church, I saw the finance statement in the office. The minister makes $120,000/ year plus expenses. The church is not even very big. So I can imagine what some others make in big markets.

There is a direct way to perceive God, without the chance of human invention. That is to look at Nature, and to attribute the whole of it to God the Creator. We are dead in our sins. We cannot and willnot come to God unless He first draws us to Himself. Repentance is both a gift from God and something we do as He leads us. PART 3: So repentance, or salvation if you will, is we chose God because God first chose us. We repented because it was granted to us. Faith is a gift from God. People aren't naturally born with it. But on the other hand, we're not robots. It's possible for someone to be elect without actually being saved, because God doesn't "force us" He "draws us." There is a big diff.

It may give me some advantage or power, but if God makes us love Him, then how can that be true love at all, if there is no free will? I heard that he is a calvinist. I am not a calvinist. I like Tim's teachings on holiness, Lordship Salvation and the likes. Thank You freind for reminding me about Matthew 28. Matthew 28 tells us to make disciples and I believe as deisciples we are to shine our lights in front of men and glorify our Father in heaven. The gospel goes much deeper than "Repent and Believe". It's not just enough to preach the gospel we have to live by it. I don't add to Eph 2:8-9, I simply also read verse 10, which you seem to neglect. "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
A person will repent if they truly trust in Christ's death to save them (because God drew them to Himself), but it's not their own doing. God is the one who changes their life by His grace, so thus 100% glory is still deserving to God.
