  • what the hell did you trade Baby Jesus for? Love Pineda, but a lot more likely that Montero will be around longer... With the possibility of a Cy Young type career, I can at least say with some pride, I got to see in person Pineda win a game as a Mariner.

  • God, this clip is just SUBLIME. Everything I love about Seinfeld in 42 seconds of pure awesomeness.

  • The Mariners just traded Michael Pineda to the Yankees for Jesus Montero...reminiscent of when the Yankees traded Jay Buhner (1988) to Seattle for Ken Phelps. Here are Bones numbers when he was traded - 32 games, 3 HRs, 14 RBIs. Here are Monteros numbers for last year - 18 games, 4 HRs, 12 RBIs...Only time will tell...

  • @BlutoUSN Big difference: this time Yanks are trading for a 6-7 flamethrowing pitcher who was one of the best rookie pitchers last season and has potential to be an ace

  • @Roca2991

So true...I'll refrain from making judgements on it yet but as a life long M's fan I must say I am disappointed...

  • @BlutoUSN Win-win for both teams as both dealt from position of strength to get what they needed. Pineda is the riskier side of the deal with possible arm issues, you know Montero is going to mash. Only questions are how his power will translate to Safeco and what position he'll play. Yanks fan and I feel bad about losing a huge prospect, but they're both better teams now

  • technically he hit 40 home runs, but whatever lol

  • This is genius.

  • oh if cash man was in my living room the things i would rant about...vasquez, kyle farnsworth, giambi, trading melky...

  • LOL the first 15 seconds, you think Frank is trying to overcome the shock but he's just building up to his complaint bahahaha

  • He's got a rocket for an arm.. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL YER DOIN!!

  • BLOW OUT THE CANDLES!!!!! I SAID BLOW OUT THE DAMN CANDLES, GEORGE!!!

STOP IT, FRANK!!!! YOU'RE KILLING HIM!!!!!

    BLOW OUT THE CANDLES!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @kubrox91 "Read it!"

    "I need my glasses."

"YOU DON"T NEED GLASSES YOU'RE JUST WEAK!"

  • @BenGriffithsReviews This is Frank Costanza... You think you can keep us outta Florida?! We're moving in Lock, Stock, and Barrels! We're gonna be in the pool... we're gonna be in the clubhouse! We're gonna be all over that shuffle board court! AND I DARE YOU TO KEEP ME OUT!

  • Jerry Stiller's one the best actors around

  • hahahaha frank is the best

  • >2011

    >trading for Ken Phelps

  • ive met people who dont like this show, and they are simply too stupid and will indeed go to hell one day. lol best show ever, only one in the same league is curb your enthusiasm.

  • Ken Phelps Ken Phelps Ken Phelps

  • I was 8 when my parents started watching Seinfeld, I'm now 30 and I have seen every episode, most of them when new at 9pm Thursdays on NBC through the hundreds upon hundreds of times Ive seen the reruns. Its been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and its still hysterical to this day.

I catch new jokes every time I watch the show. Frank Costanza is hands down the best character on the show. "I stopped short!"

Seinfeld - best show ever made.

  • he hit 40 bombs a year for my Mariners from 95-97. Thanks Yanks

  • "well he'd been logging some pretty heavy hours. first one in in the morning last one to leave at night the kid was a human dymano" perfect delivery.

  • This is possibly the best moment in Seinfeld.

  • Frank Costanza is the man

  • I'm still pissed about that trade.

  • I remember one of the first games Buhner played for the Yankees. He made a perfect throw from the deep outfield to home plate without a bounce. He came up to the Yankees and drew attention in ways similar to Bernie Williams later on. I couldn't believe it when I heard he was traded.

  • 0:37 I see a windows 95 cd and a computer that I doubt could run it.

  • jerry its frank costanza, mr steinbrenners here george is dead call me back

  • The look on Frank's face leading up to it is priceless. He's going insane inside. Jerry Stiller always hits it right on the money.

  • 5 people are like steinbrenner and would trade jay buhner

  • "you sure you're talking about george" "you don't know what the hell you're doing" "george is dead, call me back"... 3 hilarious lines in the space of 42 seconds, and they were like that for nearly a decade, the reason why seinfeld is the greatest sitcom ever

  • >trading Jay Buhner

I seriously hope you guys don't do this.

  • I remember when Ken Phelps was traded for some weird guy named Buhner. I was happy to get rid of this Phelps guy, but wasn't so sure if we're getting anything in return. Now I take it all back hahanydiehaha. - Seattle Mariners Fan For Life

  • @Alai912 Dude, I felt the exact same way.

  • Thanks for throwing us a BONE New York.

  • human dynamo.

  • LMAO LMAO...A TRUE YANKEE FAN..."YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOUR DOIN!"..love it

  • "You don't know what the hell you're doin'!"

  • Seattle thanks you

  • "What the hell did you trade Jay Buhner for?!? He had

30 home runs, over 100 RBIs last year, hes got a rocket for an arm, you

dont know what the hell you're doing!!"

  • "George is dead. Call me back."

  • George Likes the BANANAS!!!!!!

  • @18sux29rox So let him have the bananas on the side!!!!!

  • @Ortmeyer41 One of my top favorite quotes on seinfeld. Wish i had parents like that. Somedays.

  • @18sux29rox Why does he eat them Sse fast he can't even taste them!

  • for the first :15 seconds watch Frank, it's like he's literally biting his own tounge but then he just can't hold it in anymore. Jerry Stiller is a comedic genius.

  • Larry David as George George Steinbrenner = GENIUS

  • He's got a rocket for an arm u don't know what the hell your doin!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Frank couldn't help himself.

  • only 2 people prefered Ken Phelps.

  • 1 person thought Ken Phelps was a good move.

  • God I love Seinfeld!

Someone do a reunion or something in England... Cheers.

  • hahah the best part of this is when you watch Frank Costanza for the entire clip... he is swaying from side to side looking like he is in emotional pain about George... then u realise he is actually fuming up about the yankees hahahaahha

  • YES

  • Classic laugh at the 0.17" mark.

  • Jerry Stiller was AWSOME, so was Estelle, together they were like magic on the show.

  • @5downer

The whole Costanza family was great :)

  • ken phelps ken phelps!!

  • "The kid was a human dynamo!"

  • The man's got a point

  • Both this and the King of Queens are Jerry Stiller's best performances

  • PRobably the best Seinfeld moment

  • ........he's got a rocket for an arm.......YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOUR DOIN!!!!

    frank's the best!

  • I was wondering why the Pirates traded Jay Buhner to the Yankees in the early 80's. Oh great, we got Steve Kemp and Tim Foli (barf).

  • @crowtservo Hey man quit bragging. My Orioles got Glen Davis for Steve Finley and Curt Schilling. LoL

  • best line ever "Jerry, its Frank Costanza, Mr. Steinbrenners here, George is dead, call me back"

  • Jerry, it's Frank Costanza. George is here, Mr, Steinbrenner's dead, call me back

  • "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE DOING!"

  • i wouldn't be surprised if most yankee fans had the same priorities as george's father does in that scene. lol.

  • RIP BIG STEIN!

  • RIP Boss!

  • RIP Steinbrenner. I hope you fired Billy Martin with your last breath.

  • I saw Jay Buner in Bellevue,Wa today when I was doing a tree removal job on Lake sammamish. He was walking down the street on Lake Hills Blvd

  • cool.....

  • you hear the phone ring at the end, and it's George.

  • No tv show ever made me laugh as hard as this one. every damn show ( from seasons 3-6) was hilarious.

  • @stimpp What about seasons 1 and 2?

  • @RAYSNAT10N4Life show seemed to be trying to find its way at first, not bad, but i think the classic eps started around season 3.

  • Great moment in Seinfeld history.

  • i love how georges dad doesnt give a fuck XD

  • George's mom is clearly choking back laughter after Frank goes on his tirade!

  • You don't know what the Hell you're doing!!!!

  • Ken Phelps! Ken Phelps!

  • this might very well be my favorite seinfeld moment of all time. Frank shaking his head in disbelief as Steinbrenner informs them of their son's demise and the realization of the true source of his anguish as he screams "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU TRADE JAY BUHNER FOR?!" I laugh out loud to this day whenever I simply think of this scene.

  • Mariners trivia Tuesday night against the Athletics

  • Jay Buhner was (and still is) beloved by all of Seattle. Moreover, the Mariners' front office is renowned for being perhaps the worst in the history of baseball. Getting Buhner must have been an accident, but a happy one.

  • 0:34-0:39

"Jerry it's Frank Costanza, Mr.Steinbrenner's here, George is dead, call me back!"

  • Mrs. Costanza's facial reaction from 0:15-0:25 of the clip is hilarious.

  • How did the mariners not ever win a world series with a team like "Ken Griffey, Jay Buhner, Randy Johnson, Edgar Martinez ...

  • because they are from Seattle

  • @geetarman13 what's wrong with seattle?...(other than the mariners not getting their shit together for the majority of their existance [i say that with love, M's...with love]). otherwise, seattle is a fuckin awesome city

  • they also had A-Rod too!

  • @ANTICHRISTisFunny

Going back it came down to a bad decision in 92 and a couple injuries around that same time. M's had the hitting and one starter but never got the second starter to go with Randy because Erik Hanson and Brian Holman's careers got Tommy John'd. Put a bit of an unlucky injury to Moyer in the 97 playoffs (and our pen took half an inning to blow his lead) and that's why. Couple in trading our pen for Kevin Mitchell and we never had the bullpen to go all the way.

  • Hahaaa classic scene

  • "What the hell did you trade Jay Buhner for?!"

LOL! I litteraly cound not stop laughing for 5 minutes the first time i heard that!

  • fuck the yankees, mariners for life!

  • lol...that's all I'm going to say lol..

  • This is the reason I hate the Yanks.

  • "Jerry, Its Frank Costanza, Mr Steinbrenners here, George is dead, call me back". LOL

  • @lcr2142 The greatest phone message in history.

  • @lcr2142 Gotta one of the funniest lines in the history of the world!

  • lol I love this moment so much because I am such a Yankee-hater

    Mariners are awesome!

  • "Mariners are awesome!"

Dude check the standings. Mariners suck

  • I don't give a shit about the standings.

    I'm loyal to my team.

  • I respect team loyality and I appreciate true Mariner fans but I don't take well to 'Yankees suck' from a team that has been dominated by mine for the last 14 years. I mean since the 1995 ALDS it's been curtains.

  • well the mariners are one of 2 teams to ever reach the 116 wins in a year mark. sooo if ur not a yankee or a mariner fan then u cant say that

  • @PinkFloyd7874

um the cubs were the other team with 116 wins, not the fucking yankees

  • Yeah and the mariners are at home watching the Yankees dominate :)

  • omg thats my uncle no lie my last names buhner he has three kids and a wife and hes coming to my house this weekend to visit us im so happy his nickname is bone if yall didnt know i would know hes my uncle my dad is his brother my uncle retired in 2004 i think i remeber we were walking to the room that he makes his speach about his baseball life and i was on his shoulders and some lady loved my uncle and she asked for his autoghraph and when he gave it to her she fainted

  • Jay Buhner retired in 2001, Ichiro took his place in right field. You're thinking about when Jay Buhner was inducted into the Mariners Hall of Fame in 2004.

  • hahaha.

  • that's one hell of run on sentence

  • Frank costanza made a good show great.

  • Jay buhner all time great!

  • gorge is dead, call me back!

    LOL

  • This was the best when they played it at Buhners induction to the Mariners hall of fame.

  • really?!? would love to see a video of that if it can be found

  • I remember that happening! I watched it on tv. It was perfect!!
