References are made to the Royal Navy patrolling the waters around Britain- did they manage to keep Ireland safe, or was it overrun by refugees? I figure the Channel Islands made it, perhaps even into 28 Weeks Later. But the question keeps nagging- "What about Ireland?"

@darkshadowangel1991 Well the infected dont live forever. The virus spreads so fast it uses up the hosts in any given area too quickly. Thus why it needs carriers to keep itself going. But to survive in the city you would just need to locate a clean source of water and a building you could lock down. Then you just wait it out for a couple months. Given how the virus works I doubt that would be impossible.
