@thedearpsychonaut i disagree. look at the molecular structure, it does not fit in with tryptamine, tryptaphan, serotonin, dmt, psilocybin, dipt, or any other tryptamine. Tryptamines work by replacing serotonin as a neurotransmitter for communicating information across a synapse. LSD works by attaching to the receptor and tweaking the resonance of the receptor itself.. it's different. Not to mention the effects of LSD are nothing like the effects any other tryptamine.
@PsycheDelectic all serotonin receptor agonists (which includes most tryptamines) attach themselves to the receptor, its art of the definition of being an agonist. this includes all the tryptamines you listed. Lsd's structure is unique, and is not like most, but LSD wouldn't be in TIHKAL if it wasn't a tryptamine, and i've seen numerous other sources label it as such. its chemical structure does resemble tryptamine structure. its effects are extremely unique i'll agree there.
I've never had gas from tryptamines, even 5gs of shrooms the only feeling of sickness I felt was some mild burping. However when I did 20mg of 2c-e orally (only PEA i've done besides 25iNBOMe) I had some pretty intense nausea and bodily discomfort. I kept experiencing visual phenomena similar to what one would see through a camera like zooming in and focusing and it was kind of making me sick. I would also compare it to certain effects in photo-booth on macs, such as light tunnel and squeeze.

@PsycheDelectic lysergamides have a tryptamine structure. they are technically tryptamines.

LSD isn't a tryptamine, it is a lysergamide

I prefer Tryptamines to Phenethylamines,
I get both visually and mentally more involved with the trip on Tryptamines.
