  • Poor Willie. I'm sure he loses sleep about what you guys think. Bill Hicks? Bet he would have done a commercial vouching for Preparation H, if they had offered it to him. Calling Bill Hicks a genius is like calling a Turd, Play Dough. Just because you think it's Play Dough, doesn't alter the fact it's a Turd. He hated everyone who had success at anything. And losers always find camaraderie in their own kind.

  • Every song is a commercial, if you get paid to sing. A commercial for the guy singing. It's all business unless you give it away.

  • @MactanDotCom Yea, but not everyone sells out... Some people respect others.

  • Obligatory Bill Hicks comment.

  • Thumbs up if you heard Bill Hicks talk about this, and looked it up

  • He's hardly the first to have no choice but to do a commercial because of tax problems! Hello, Iggy Pop doing Royal Carribean Cruises?? That's even worse!

  • 24 million plus tax bill, Willy was a bit looser than the rest of of us... Just avert your eyes.

  • IRS, ain't that a bitch...

  • genius

  • Poor fuckin' willie!

  • bill hicksssss

  • Oooooo poor Willie! My butt is soooooo loose! Long live Willie and the hicks!

  • willie nelson could sell bull shit to a texas rancher.

  • @BillHicks420 exactly

  • I think Bill Hicks sent a lot of people to check this ad out ;)

  • @BillHicks420 fact! it sent me lol

  • Diarreah is comming

  • Thats sad but yeah, he had to pay "The Man" so you do what you gotta. Its pretty funny though

  • @RootbrianRockz

     Aye?

  • @RootbrianRockz

"retard" That's odd. If you're old enough to appreciate Willie, seems you'd be old enough to know better.

  • Budweiser sponsored the Rolling Stones Tour, and Sony Ericson sponsored Usher's tour, and at the time that Willie did Taco Bell, his tour was sponsored by Jose Cuervo. That's advertising you Numb Nuts. That's why the stars have the money and you're collecting your govenment dole while listening to a hack comedian preach the gospel of musical morality. Duh. What is a record anyway except an advertisement for the musician himself and the record label? Whatta buncha brain dead couch potatoes.

  • @CakewalkBill

You're a fucking dumb ass. It's really quite pathetic. There's a difference between having sponsors and actually making a commercial endorsing products. And it is quite idiotic to call a record a form of advertising. They're put out so everybody has access to the music, not just people that go to concerts. You're a hack demon from hell, and I hope people don't fall for your logic distortions. Bill was a genius, end of fucking story. Now go collect YOUR government dole.

  • dark times

  • poor fuckin willie

  • "... get him off the taco bell commercial! we gotta save willie!"

  • @bmbhorrorfan I still find that joke =) funny may bill rest in peace =(

  • @rudy424 it's an awesome joke lmao xD

I can't find it on vid anywhere though!

have you found it anywhere on youtube, or remember where it's from? i could find it ^.-

  • I'm sittin' here singin' 'bout tacos and waiting for the woman with the rose tattoo

    My butt is so loose!

They got picante and iced tea

Taco Bell has got it for me

Man, my butt is killin' me!

  • @Edgar3DMAX

    Bill Hicks rules

  • Poor Billy!!

  • I was JUST thinking about this commercial, no more than a few minutes ago!! :D

  • Bill Hicks once ripped hard on this commercial. It was fantastic.

  • The Hicks bit is hilarious. Oh can't we just pass a hat around? We gotta save Willie!!

  • I used to play this one on College campuses back in the early 90's. I got a lot of mileage out of this puppy.

    : )

  • He would be indebted for the rest of his life, because she gave him a taco?

  • Hahahaha, oh lordy it was a good taco!

  • Poor Willie. Bill Hicks does a really funny bit about Willie doing this commercial "I'm sitting here selling tacos, waiting for the women with the rose tattoo"

  • "24 million dollar tax bill Willie was a little looser than the rest of us! "

    rep'd

  • 24 million dollar tax bill Willie was a little looser than the rest of us!

  • Im sitting here selling tacos...waiting for the woman with the rose tattoo...my butt is soo looseeee

  • Haha. RIP Bill Hicks.

  • Ha! Yep...first thing I thought of too :)

  • What a wonderful ad! All the taco bell border spots were so good. I remember Johnny Cash did some, and Little Richard did so many. I was always happy when a new one came out. Memorized so many of them. Wish someone made ads like those today, they were so entertaining.

  • One of the best commercials ever made. The year this came out USA Today named it one of the top ten for the year. Run For The Border was the most successful campaign in Taco Bell History. Taco Bell's sales fell dramatically when they stopped the Run For the Border campaign and went to the Chihuahua.

  • The sad thing is this commercial is the first thing I can remember clearly from when I was little. I was only two; I thought this commercial came out later than that. Thanks for the flashback!

  • Do a comercial and everything you say or do is suspect.

Sorry but your kinda off the artistic roll call now William

  • Kinda sad cause his son died the same year from suicide.

  • LOL

  • willie didnt want to do an ad but he got taxed so much monry by the goverment due to some tax vilotation the poor man had no choice lol......and go bill hicks!!! r.i.p

  • "Selling out" is violating your own personal principles for money. As far as I know, Willie Nelson has never taken any sort of stance against advertising, so therefore him appearing in a commercial is not selling out. Period.

Now Bill Hicks doing a commercial for Orange Drink? Yeah, that would be selling out. George Carlin doing a commercial for 10-10-220? Yeah, that WAS selling out. Why? Because both of those individuals took hard stances against advertising.

  • It's selling out no matter how you look at it. Just like Jay Leno pushing durritoes.

  • LOL. Gotta love Willie! I don't care if it was a sellout or not, good stuff!

  • I had never seen this commercial and was wondering what Bill Hicks was refering to. Ouch, I'm so sorry Willie.

  • I remember this like it was yesterday.

  • yes Bill Hicks nail it the the cross on this one! RIP Bill.

  • I love Bill Hicks' bit on this commercial.

  • magnus, I think the commercial was awesome and will always respect Willie.

  • this is awesome

  • God DAMN! That was painful to watch! I hope Willie was in serious financial crisis when he agreed to sell out like this.

I mean, I like Willie, but damn...

  • I wouldn't call it selling out. He had to do a few things he wouldn't normally do so he could pay the IRS the millions they said he owed. I still love him him and always will.

  • @shmadnumber1 "They said he owed"

He did owe it, it wasn't alleged lol. Willie always harked on greedy america, but just like everyone else, he was a dumb greedy bastard like the rest of them. Made uncountable amounts of money and still couldn't keep control of it. Pathetic really.

That's the main reason I dislike Willie so much, he was a fucking hypocrite, just like Hicks.

  • Johnny Cash did one too...

  • COOLEST video EVER!!!!There will never be another Willie!!!Love you Willie!!!
