I am PhysX user § fan but HAVOK physics engine is better for clothes. PhysX clothes is trying to return to it´s starting position while HAVOK clothes remains as you left it.

There are times where the collision detection is so bad that I can see some of the vertices of the "flappy" part of the dress crossing through the lead singer's waist and legs. Tits don't really jiggle like that either. They look too liquid-like. It's pretty bad IMO. I feel like the devs are still living in 2005.

Common, Physx aren't still needed for a game to run and gameplay isn't dependant from them. Physx should be used in something more than just something many wouldn't notice unless you pay attention because you know "it's diffeerent".

@cfgauss Try to play battlefield bad company 2 and you will find out what's the different between physx on and off. Quite noticeable for me, especially the smokes during battle. Try to borrow a physx or nvidia card to test if you don't have.

This is quite an interesting use of physx. The skirts in the background are quite impressive and it means the animation can concentrate on the character movmeent not the clothes, but I have to say normally the physx cloth I saw in cellfactor, physx demos etc was all buggy as hell and randomly tore etc.

If a skirt randomly tears that would be very bad (or very good?).

that is so very poorly animated...the only redeeming factor is the fact that it is a cloth demo, albiet a poor one at that.

The cloth went through the character's hands and arms multiple times and also bent and moved in unrealistic ways.

nVidia should put less money into flaunting PhysX and put more into scripting it so then it acts in realistic ways.

Also pay an animator to animate your demos instead of motion capping...looks like total shit when they use straight motion caption

Assuming cloth physics is some kind of gimmick (when it's one of the most important physic-based aspects wanted in development) doesn't exactly make you look smart. And yes, it IS revolutionary because of the form in which it is presented. it's honest, true Real-time simulated cloth dynamic, which Havok doesn't do. Period. And it's not the only thing CUDA has over Havok. THus the move behind PhysX.

Then install latest PhysX drivers.

Download NV Physx tweaker.

Set to GPU PhysX.

It does not allow Nvidia and ATI to run at the same time. Windows 7 will be released for RTM in july and retail in october. You can use the RC version its stable or you can wait till july and download the final RTM version.
