14? Good job, dude. Stick with it. More slow metronomic practice will prevent the rushed sections from falling apart. Take up a blow instrument (trumpet, clarinet, Sax...), it will help with your phrasing of lines. Take an orchestration class. Your registration is very samey. Could be the limitations of the instrument. Inner voice leading is a bear, hard to do well. Try sequencing it on a MIDI instrument so you can hear where to manipulation phrasings and timbre. It does get easier.

Prachtig gespeeld dat wil ik zeker als eerste zeggen. Ik speel het stuk zelf op de piano wat natuurlijk een andere techniek vergt, desalniettemin wil ik je toch wat goedbedoelde tips geven. Alhoewel het stuk door iedereen anders wordt gespeeld, raad ik je toch aan het af en toe wat langzamer te spelen. Dit wekt namelijk bij dit stuk een hele mooie spanning op, het is namelijk een erg dramatisch stuk. Verder vind ik dat je het perfect speelde! Keep up the good work! Groet, Stijn.

Hoi Gert,

Toccata goed gespeeld. Let op het tempo bij de fuga, je gaat soms versnellen(gebruik een metronoom!). Ik weet dat Bach moeilijk is om te spelen, oefen daarom in langzaam tempo en laat versieringen (bijv. trillers) als allerlaatste in de afwerking. Liever geen tremulant in de slotfase van de fuga, dit past niet echt bij dit werk van Bach maar meer bij componisten uit de Romantiek. Overigens knap dat je dit uit je hoofd speelt, je beheerst de muzikaliteit, ga zo door! Succes!!

Played more than well enough for your age as far as I can hear. If you continue to practice, you'll become a very respectable organist some day. Not many kids of your age try their hand at such a challenging instrument anymore. I applaud you. Please continue, and if you can, don't refrain from playing other types of organs. (Try a Hammond ;))

I'm not going to point out mistakes because I can't do any better; I'm a Hammond / pop player and not into classical organ music (yet) :P

Thats very good (for youre age? no! It´s better then some Versions from older people.) But i would make a little corecture: The part from 0:40 to 0:53. I think, this are 1/16 sheets and after three returns the two last sheets (for example: d,e) are 1/8 Sheets (sorry for my bad english, if you like i´ll explaine in german, if its easier for you ;) )

Gert, mijn complimenten, wat fijn en mooi om te horen dat ook jonge mensen nog interesse hebben in orgel en Bach. Een ijzersterk stuk deze toccata en fuga BWV 565. Sommige dingen moeten nog wat verder rijpen - en door de jaren heen blijft zo'n stuk altijd bij je.

En er is meer dan Bach alleen - ik zie dat je ook Super Mario speelt, dus de interesse in orgelmuziek ' in de breedte ' heb je ook al. ;-) Keep it up!
