I agree with most of what Bill Maher says, but I'm shocked that no one calls him on his ignorant bullshit when it comes to the NEA. If the NEA were abolished, thousands of jobs would be lost. Countries such as China, who are ahead of us in math and science, still place a high priority on arts education, which is a cornerstone of any healthy and civilized society. Not to mention that cutting or reducing it would do nothing to trim the deficit.
