I have moxed opinions on this. I like the synchronising idea but it's a bit crap that you can't use it as a normal browser. That leaves you with two choices:
1. Use Safari and have no synchronising of tabs, history, bookmarks etc.
2. Use Firefox and synchronise fine but then need to use Safari as a browser.
Personally I don't want to be using two "almost the same" apps just because one doesn't quite do it all.

Apple is going to make the same mistakes as it did in the passed, by not allowing applications to be created anyone like android and others. make apple os open source!

I really doubt that Apple doesn't allow a competitive browser. Opera Mini is already on the iPhone among with quite a bunch of others.
