Ordered a Lenovo ThinkPad T420 (41786VU) from Newegg because I did not want to wait forever to get it from Lenovo or have it lost in customs. Plus I had a bad experience dealing with management and the escalation department in Morrisville, North Carolina in 2008. Importantly, I'm just wanting the Horizontal Lower Display Chassis (connected to the hinges), to at least match the T410 or T61's, and not be too wide in width. Great Review/Video LogicTVdotcom, I saved the video a while back <(")
Hi im debating either getting a T410 or a y460p. Im leaning toward the t410 but the y460p specs is really impressive. Which do u recommend? what is the benefit of switchable graphic ?
Thanks for the info. Could you comment further on the Lenovo T410 screen. How does it compare to HP's elite series screens, the Lenovo X200 Tablet screen, is it grainy, etc. Thanks. I'd appreciate more complete information.
I'd like to learn more about the screen. Is it glossy or matte finish? How does the screen compare with the x200 tablet, multitouch screen? I thought that the tablet screen was a bit grainy and not as clear as a glossy screen. What about the t410 screen? Is it as nice as a glossy screen?
@LogicTVdotcom You don't reply with an acknowledgement of your mistakes but instead criticize the one who's right, knowing all the way that you're dead wrong?

@headmetal80 Every keyboard in every system has a certain amount of flex. Yes, even the island/isolation style keyboards. What matters is if it flexes significantly during normal usage. The T410's keyboard feels perfectly solid under all normal usage.
I just got mine today, its amazing!!! boot up time and standby time are amazingly fast, battery life not as long as the website for it shown, though. And just like LOGICTVdot come said, its around 4 hours of online stuff for me, not 13hr battery life...

by the way the keyboard for the new T series is not as great as the previous thinkpad keyboard before the increased upgrade in the key cap...

The ThinkPad keyboard flex can be easily fixed, buy putting something under the keyboard, by removing the screws on the bottom.

@MrRJOne
It's a matte finish. 16 x 10 resolution.

He says that there is no flex in the keyboard that he can detect but you can clearly see it flex as he types on it.

@LogicTVdotcom Thanks for the goog review. Still, I can see the flexing, thus copy and pasting was legitimate in this case.

@LogicTVdotcom Yes I responded to the W510 and T410 videos because you can see the keyboard flex. Just an observation.
Maybe you should watch the video.

The battery would last more if you had in integrated graphics and the fan runs often? does it really? loud?

A picky keyboard? You didn't say one negative thing about it during the review.

looking at the pro and cons of this review, it suggest the thinkpad has average build quality.

Accurate and concise review. I've been pondering whether or not to purchase the T410. (I currently have a T500).
