I have the same problem. you have to change your processor thermal paste, this might fix the problem the second option is that your GPU is broken that means you have to replace your PS3 and i hope its still in warranty.

this is called graphic corruption...

this happens in nfs undercover too if you change your graphics settings...

this is caused by many reasons...

1 ps3 overheating problem

2 the disk is scratched or destroyed

3 the data cant be read correctly cause the disk is scratched

Also theres something definitely wrong with your system. Try cleaning the BR disk maybe? I don't own a ps3 or 360 so I know shit about BR. But Im taking it like any optical media. Maybe a cleaning. But if that does not help I would call sony tech suport. Cause that looks super fucked up.

The ps3s colors tend to have a more washed out look no matter what set up you have. The 360s are more vibrant and fuller. Otherwise then that I see no difference in detail and what not. Even then the ps3s colors are just slightly washed out. Its not a game breaker either.

I am a PC player myself, im not a huge fan of consoles but i much prefer 360 as the online is much better, controls are much nicer, graphics actually seem better (check gamespots comparison)

actually to make it superior you wont have to go any higher than 700$ but to have a pc with like 40-30 fps in crysis max no aa then you could do it with a pc that will cost anywhere from 500 to 400 $ easily and just with that it could already be superior to a ps3 it just depends on what parts you get and its not like the ps3 ends up coming out at exactly 400$ and games cost a lot for ps3

crysis has the best graphics on pc and if you can run crysis at very high detail with 40 to 30 fps then you can pretty much run any game in max settings since there is no other game out right now with effects or graphics like crysis the graphics are so detailed in that game people have compared screenshots from the game to real life photos and they come out almost identical
