For example, I know the redsox won the first WS ever, but they were called the boston americans back then, so technically the (red sox) didn't win their first WS till 1912. I also know boston got their name from a Cincinnati team. I also know that by 1937 Yankees have officially past the sox with 6 WS wins, over 8 decades ago!

The Yankees market is $867 million where as boston is only $ 402 million, that is more than double. This is not including revenue or gate recipients. Thank you for stating the obvious. Yes, the rangers finally beat the Yankees and it only took them almost 40 yrs to do so, only to lose to the Giants... so congrats to the rangers! And funny how the red sox didn't even get to the ALDS, but you say I'm the one making excuses for my team. It wasn't Yankee fans who were crying about the disabled list last season!

For example, I know the redsox won the first WS ever, but they were called the boston americans back then, so technically the (red sox) didn't win their first WS till 1912. I also know boston got their name from a Cincinnati team. I also know that by 1937 Yankees have officially past the sox with 6 WS wins, over 8 decades ago!
