Now I dont own either car, but alot of people say the vette out does the viper, but from personal experience in driving both, i have to strongly disagree. While the Vette may ride smoother, the Viper out runs it, plus the style and body of the Viper is more eye catching.. When A Vette passes, i look.. But when a Viper passes, i look twice.. plus when the Viper passes the rumble is louder and more felt.. to me.. thats the best part :) But much love to both American Beautys

@eightway1 I wouldn't say pure hell. The Viper still has a better 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile, 1 mile, slalom, and skid pad (yeah, I know brakes favor the Vette). Not to mention track times. There's not really a way to reliably measure the bang to buck ratio. Lastly, performance is not the only factor in price...

@fishngreen ya i liked the C5s better than the C6s. unhiding the headlights screwed the vette over. the vette is more customizable. the viper of course is amazing though and for me its close, but id probably prefer the 98-02 body viper for looks. the 03-06 for driving. the 08-10s are so cramped and basically racecars.

I want 2 correct a few mistakes I made, atleast i can agree 2 mine though! I noticed I made a typing error for which i apologize, here it is 513/61.024=8.4L not 513ci's again, a simple mistake of coarse u dont take cubic inches 2 find out cubic inches, its Liters u get! And There was Carrol Shelby's interest's in Vipers indeed, he actually had his own signature Viper, but production was fewer than 100, around 65 i believe or something close to that? BUT 8.4 LITERS IS NOT 800ci's STILL & 4EVER!

This is the 600hp 560 ilb-ft torque 8.4L V10 08' Dodge Viper SRT-10. The viper GTS ACR stopped production in 02' & it had a 460hp 8.0L V10. The SRT-10 between the years of the new 08' SRT-10 & the 02' GTS ACR had a 510hp 525 ilb-ft torque 8.3L V10, and back before the GTS ACR was in production it was the old viper R/T which i don't remember the motor specs on it so my bad. But I do know alot more then most ppl on here on what they are commenting about! If u don't know shit, then don't say shit!

Wow balence shafts huh! For an engine to b balenced every cylinder has to have the same bore x stroke, they both have to be the same in every cylinder for the engine to crank right! Something i learned from the best automotive college in America UTI, maybe u should try college so ur not soo dumb! To get cubic inches, take the liters 8.4L & X's it by 61.024. 8.4Lx61.024=513ci. To get liter size take the cubic inches & divide it by 61.024. 513/61.024=513ci's. Your welcome for the knowledge advice!

Ya i know it's pretty sweet, seen it on the front cover of a Car & Driver mag & seen the article on it, it's a badass ride, think it would look a little better if the spoiler wasn't quite so big though. But that's cuz the ACR was built for track race use purpose and in mind, not necessarily stright line speed racing. I guess it performed pretty well at the Nurburgring Nordschleife track in Germany on it's test run their.

John Hennessey hence the Hennessey viper 700tt, 800tt & Dodge Hennessey Venom viper 1000 twin turbo with 1100 horsepower, is the aftermarket higher production modeler with dodge & it's viper! and having a chevy 5.7L 350 with 2 extra cylinders with the same bore size to be a balenced motor would not come out to be the vipers 8.4L V10!
