this is only lightweight metal, but if you've got proper metal like I've got, I can't get it past 6500 rpm its so hard, I can keep it around 3000 rpm for 3 minutes and then change hands, this piece of engineering is really worth to buy, who hasn't tried, doesn't know, what I am talking about, also I wouldn't recommened 350hz for beginers, I was beginer and bought this and almost gave up, because I couldn't get it past 1500rpm, its so hard for first time, after a week practice I got it on 6500rpm

i just recieved a powerball and i am knew to this! how do u read it? u have to press the FCN button untill the rpm symbol apear and then while its spinngin at its max u have to press it again to stop it?

Just bought one today too... when the "lightning" logo function is set, it will record the highest rpm of a session and display it. It will only display it for a while after the gyro has stopped spinning and then it will show you the all time fastest. But be careful, if you press On/Clear when the all time record is displayed it resets it to 0... (Or does it keep the ALL TIME best somewhere? I hope it would...)

I haven't understood the first function.. usually shows something between 50 and 70

8000-9000 is usually the part when the ball starts slipping from my fingers.. though, my palms were sweaty as hell for drinking a hell of a lot of coffee :P

At around 9000rpm it slipped from my sweaty squeezing fingers like a piece of soap, but gladly I had the wriststrap on. :D

And mine's 250hz.. is 350hz "lighter" to spin? So I guess you really can't compare 250hz records and 350hz records?

Sure, loads of people get to 10 or 12K, I can get to 12K relatively easily, but the difficulty is exponential. Getting up to 10K is easy, but after that the going gets harder and harder. You have no idea until you try one and get stuck at 12K wondering where another 6K will come from.

Nothing to do with "whacking your stack" as you so kindly put it, it is a gyro, in which you rotate your wrist and allow it to get faster. This then puts a higher centrifugal force on your arm and body, this exercises many different mussels that you wouldnt really exercise when lifting weights.
