  • Fucking greatest band ever. Only they would do something as fucking awesome as this.

  • 0:04 NOOOOB!!

  • Its actually "mmmmmmmm those brains sure were good... Dont mess with things you don't understand"

  • "Hmm, Hmmm, what ho sed de t'ing wid de t'ree bonce. Don't meddle wid t'ings you don't understand"

  • sounds like a jamaican dude

  • im christian and satanic messages are bullshit except in black metal.

  • @Darknight6606 So you decide whats bullshit and whats not?

  • @zer0dahero nah man, thats not what i meant. THeyre not satanic as they are discovered by pure chance. I have only found black metal bands to intentionally insert satanic backmasked messages in theyre music. Its easy to tell.

  • i ear editing in 3 month lol ??

  • The message is just Nicko doing his Idi Amin voice on this one.

  • cool

  • If anyone wants any proof that Iron Maiden aren't Satanic, here it is. Why would a Satanic band put this in to repell allegations of being satanic?

  • its sounds so epic as it is :D:D:D

  • @guitardousche666 This was a message from Iron Maiden to the people who were saying "The Number of the Beast" song was satanic. The song wasn't devil worship but was based on a dream either Steve or Bruce had. So they were telling those detractors that they don't understand the meaning of the song and shouldn't call it satanic.

  • you've gotta love those guys... :)

  • one day, when i grow older and become a famous musician, i am going to create a song with a reversed sentance. when you listen to the song backwords, its going to say "Stay in school." :))

  • it still dosn't make any sense

  • @guitardouche666 How doesn't "Don't meddle wid t'ings you don't understand' make sense?

BTW... *burp!* > The rest of the message \o/

  • hah. always wondered what it said

  • I thought the guy was speaking French when I first heard it

  • Haha, I remember my dad put this on when I was like seven or so.

Scared the living shit out of me, and I LOVED it.

  • @Viibrate I remember my brother put this on when I was three or so. It didn't scare me(because I thought it was english in a strange voice[I didn't speak english then]), but I started loving metal then, because of the rest of the song :D

  • @TheRimaluko :D That's awesome man.

    Good brother you got there!

  • Love that album, but Maiden could've made the joke funnier... "don't meddle with things ya don't understand?" Weak. They could have said something way better to fuck with people than that.

  • Is it just me or did that sound like a Pakistani?

  • @BillBaileyFan2662 I thought it sounded kind of Jamaican

  • If you play his burp backwards it means he can taste it.

  • lol

  • I BACKTRACED IT !!!!!!!!!

  • sounds like jaba

  • Burp

  • 'nuts on an ooof dibdeeb nibbit ooohhhhh'

  • lol

  • More likely "Don't meddle with dicks you can't fit in your mouth" people.

  • @Imhornydadcomeinside

WTF? why are people like you always thinking about homosexuality?

  • @MetalHeadFilipeG96 Aren't you the homo now? I was the one thinking of a girl fitting dicks in her mouth. Fail.

  • @Imhornydadcomeinside

alright, i misjudged a comment, but Nicko mcBrain is a man, and hes the one sayin this, so sorry if i thought you were refering to Nicko as gay, seriously your comment sounded more gay than straight, why would Nicko tell women to "not meddle with dicks that cant fit in their mouth"? it just doesnt have anything to do with maiden, so i assumed the closest relation that it had to the band or the video was that you were calling them gay

  • @MetalHeadFilipeG96 daaaamn, you don't need to go into essays over arguments on youtube :)

  • hahaha

  • backmaskings not always satanic.

    burp :D

  • No way that was correct.

    =P

  • "What ho said the t'ing with the three "bonce", do not meddle with things you don't understand..." Then he burps.

    That's what he's saying.

  • LOL! classic Maiden! and may i add this is a great song but everybody back in the day got caught up with the satanic witch hunt. we still live in a pilgrim society. LOL!!!!

  • that may just be the oddest thing i've ever heard.

  • He did this all while he as drunk too :D

  • not all backmasking is satanic.. some bands and people just do it.. like E.L.O did it a lot and listen to empty spaces backwards and theres a clear message

  • people people!!! this isnt about being satanic, maiden did this after they`ve been acused to hide satanic messages in lyrycs, so they thid this with reason. its a message for those who accuse them. read a bit.....

  • and what does this means?

  • It's a shame because this shitty rumour basically led to my mom's parents making my mom burn her 'satanic' CD collection (Iron Maiden, Meat Loaf, Status Quo). She's now a bible-bashing, anti-queer, jew hating fuckhead, who refuses to listen to Iron Maiden!

    Ohh it gets me mad...!

  • @ibanezmancons This was Nickos idea. At the time everyone was playing music backwards and shit. He thought it was funny to add this in.

  • Is that a japnese accent or german hard to tell anyway sounds cool. very dedicated band no bull shit!

  • hes supposed to be Idi Amin so Ugandan

  • @pokemyokem3000

surely, this is not a german accent... :-)

  • @pokemyokem3000

    it's jamacan

  • more like a rasta accent

  • Iron Maiden is soooo awesome!

  • For you who don't understand Nicko says that you shouldn't meddle with things you don't understand, That is backmasking music. Great Song btw^^

  • it was a message to those Pastors, like the one below, that was givine Maiden a hard time about their song Number of the Beast from the album before this one.

Fantastic song, it's my favorite from the band.

  • la frase dice in italiano "se tu ritieni ti basta,tu ne meriti un'altra"

  • They added this just as a joke... AN AMAZING SONG by the way... UP THE IRONS!!

  • @girlnamedterry

you didnt seriously throw the records away right?

  • (burp!)

  • Man! Speed up this thing! I've got a friend that have this LP, and we put this backwards every time we play it; but do it faster so it can be understanded!

Too bad I just have this on cassette!

  • fuckin back masking

  • On wikipedia, the page for Peice of Mind album explains this. It is an impersonation of Idi Amin.

  • It means that you should'nt mess with things you dont understand:P

its for all the christians who clamed that the number of the beast was satanic!:P

  • Maybe because 666 is Satanic?

  • actully 666 is not the number of the beast its 616 but we made it 666

  • I know it's the number of the beast, but it's also the number of Satan. When the Antichrist reins, he will have everyone stamp the number of the beast on their arms in order to buy anything. 666.

  • acctully you missunderstood me i said the number of the beast is realy 616 but we made it 666

  • "We"? Who's we?

    But I understand.

  • i know it understand but by we i meant people in geanrel

  • Oh, ok.

  • do you think that Iron Maiden is satanic????

  • Did I say that?

  • u didn't say that, but i'm wondering what u think of them...

but i guess, u think that they're not satanic...that's actually what i think as well.

  • Sorry, I was in a bad mood when I responded.

    I don't think that they're Satanic.

  • no way! of course not.. nicko mcbrain is a born again christian and plays in a church band whenever he can. I'm quite sure some of the others are too..

  • They are not satanic lol.. this song is just a song from steve's dream.

  • Go reasearch things before you post.

  • Puppet crucified. You go research.

  • Jesus was crucified too. No difference. It's all in how you look at it sir.

  • Yeah, we've all seen it. Doesn't mean it's satanic. Other people than Jesus were crucified too you know, does that mean they're satanic?

  • you sure know a lot about bands for being the pop culture pastor.

maybe the reason why bruce put that puppet there was to get attention from people like you.

It is a known fact that teens from 12 to 18 will deliberatly listen to music that they are told not to, and that is banned by media. All those kils will listen to the music and realize the lyrics have NOTHING to do with satanism. only the images.

1970s,Sex Pistols song God Save the Queen was banned in UK but was still #1 on the charts.

  • Well, I did some reading and learned that, actually, both 666 and 616 are the numbers of the beast. They have the exact same meening, but each verion appears somewhere else in the world

  • oh it looks like my friend was wrong but right but any ways you learn something new every day

  • he wrote that song because his car bill or something was $666 exaclty

  • ?

I'm pretty sure it's because he had a nightmare after seeing a scary satanic movie :X

  • ummm no it was because he had a nightmare about it after watching the omen 2

  • nah, it was coz steve harris got nightmares after watching damien: the omen ll, and he turned the nightmares into a song

  • cheeky bastard.

  • what does this mean though?

  • exite the christians?

  • Are you sure that it's Nicko McBrain who recorded that and put it reversed into the song? It doesnt even make any sense!

  • ROFL! Thats great

  • I knew that one xD

  • lol i have this cd on my ipod and i always knew that was something. Anyone ever played Doom 1 with?backmasked musci on in the background/

  • I have wanted to know what they said for YEARS! thank you SO much!!! Youtube is the BEST!

  • I think its a respond to those dudes who said that Maiden is satanic after they gave out the Number Of The Beast album...

  • exactly what i thought...

  • That's exactly why it was put in.

  • Read about this on Wikipedia, had to check it out. Pretty funny. lol

  • Hustoo nunoo me scroobelem nooo,

    shnobesnee skeeda sue? CAOF!nif,nif.

  • чий е този лик обречен?

  • great

  • lmao didnt know that first sound was a BURP!

  • any one notice sounds like star wars character?

i found this video through a forum.

  • Is Satan Jamaican?

  • LOL

  • Well the burp sounds the same backwards and forward. lol

  • indeed xDDD

  • interview with steve harris concerning satanism

    are you a satanist?

    steves reply- smiles........haha....ha...NO!

    UP THE IRONS!!

  • burp!

  • HAHA this is so funny!! you gotta love nicko.. :D

  • In the 70's backmasking wasn't just the era...it was the beginning

  • he says the three marks...not the three bonce... bonce? cmon now.. i hung out wihth nikko we had a couple beers and he told me the three marks... the 'thing' with 'three marks'..666...the devil. but ok you guys can keep beleiving bonce hehe

  • Reminds me of that old comic strip Bloom County where Opus and his pals become heavy metal rockers. They play one of their records backwards and it says "Goooo to church... SAYYYYYY your prayers. Satanic messages in records is SO 70's...

  • Its not about satan its Nickos impression of dictator Idie Amin (which I spelled wrong Im sure)

  • that doesn't make any sense...

  • haha funny as fuck

    maiden for the win llf

  • that about satanism is shitty

dont fuck no one stupid heavy metal musician is satanic , its all for the bussines

    dont say sht about maiden

  • They're not satanic, they're awesome! Up The Irons!

  • "burp" LOL

  • its a warning dont mess with the unknown...

  • By putting this reversed speech before the song, guys from Iron Maiden tried to laugh at all those, who accused them of any satanic subliminal messages. And by the way: why does so many people think that if a song mentions satan, it has to be satanic? satan himself was mentioned in the Bible as well, in the Book Of Revelations for example. So does that mean that Bible is satanic? I don't think so... :)

  • nikkos the best

  • I heard all of iron maiden are christian

  • Nikko McBrain himself is a Christian, so people shouldn't take heavy metal band too seriously. They just like to have fun with what they are doing.

  • hey this isnt satanic..Niko just burped into the MIC!!

  • Ha, this was done on purpose. They made a few songs dealing with Satan and all of a sudden a bunch of Christians think they worship Satan... hm.... Have they ever heard Hallowed Be Thy Name?

  • Ok, I'm a Christian, and I like Iron Maiden. I know they have songs about satan, I just don't listen to those. I listen to the greats, The trooper, aces high, the longest day, Can I play with madness and more. I do like that they quote Revelations before number of the beast.

  • look i'm atheist... not satanic

i have absolutly no problem in hearing satanic or christian lyrics cuz i dont give a fuck to lyrics, i care about the music...

  • Except that Number of the Beast is heralded as their greatest work. It's about a guy who sees a satanic ritual, and questions what to do.

Read the lyrics before you judge

  • I knew that. I just don't listen to it much. I just jam out to some of the other stuff.

  • In my opinion, Can i play with madness is "worse" of a song in it's themes than Number of the Beast..

Doesn't Change the fact they're both still awesome though.

  • Don't disrespect Maiden. You could back mask any phrase you want and the human mind will distort it to what they want to hear. Play a message backwards to 2 different people and they will both have different determinations of what it is saying. To me it sounds like "eat ben and jerry's." See its all BS. Get a life all you people that try to find stupid messages in crap to take innocent people down!

  • dude youre an idiot. its pretty obvious what it says and they've even said that it was nicko talking backwards. retard you dont know a thing about maiden

  • this is true tho

  • your a fucking tard it was meant 2 be like this look anywhere fucking asshole u dont know anything go sitck a wet tampon up ur ass

    fucker

  • burp xD

  • burp LOL

  • burp

    man that was funny

  • BURP! LOL!

  • i love this guy who says his friend says maiden is satanic...hello they arent...and i hate when ppl use number of the beast...if he was a true maiden fan hed know that Steve Harris during an interview said...Number of the beast is about..a Dream its not satanic

  • If you're gonna say Iron Maiden is Satanic, don't use Number of the Beast. As stated by Inuyasha, it is a dream. A lot of their so called "demonic" songs are religious.

  • yes inuyasha sad that, you smart guy!

  • and their drummer is a christian, so if they were satanic why would he still be drumming for them?

  • The lyrics to Holy Smoke are an obvious dig at extremists who like to claim christianity for their own whilst disregarding it entirely. Paul Di'Anno wrote fairly mystically-influenced stuff at times, but it always seemed to me to be more linking mental illness to mysticism than promoting it. The Seventh Son album is the only thing that could genuinely be called "mystic". It was inspired by Dante's Inferno, a Christian work. (A cover group should really turn that into an Arthurian musical, tho.)

  • It is an inebriated Nicko McBrain doing his "famous" impression of Idi Amin Dada. It translates to the following: "'What ho,' said the monster with the three heads, 'don't meddle with things you don't understand.'" The messages were included by the band in response to allegations of Satanism that were surrounding them at the time.

  • I think everyone missed the most obvious piece of evidence that Maiden aren't satanic.

Anyone remember the artwork for the NOTB single? It featured Eddie holding Satan's freshly severed head.

You'd hardly be a satanist if you displayed artwork showing your alleged 'idol' being butchered by another idol...

  • well that is true, but a majority of acutal satanism doesnt have to do with worshopping "satan", but more with individualsim

  • When I was in high school, I had this cassette. My walkman was fucking up and when it reversed the tape, it would not turn the reader head so it played the same side backwards. When that happened, the first thing I thought of was this song,

  • burp

    lol

  • lol

  • lol

  • lol

  • thats hilarious

  • Iron Maiden's not Satanic. They just have a few songs about Satan, which don't really glorify him.

  • ...what ?¿?¿?¿?¿

  • LOL that is too funny I knew what it said but I had never heard it. And I will say that if anybody seriuosly belives that Maiden are satanic they are retarded, literraly.

  • Iron Maiden ROX!!! Duh there's a Satanic message in a lot of rock songs. Didn't warlocks and witches in the 50's and 60's prove that? Check out the the older music backmasked

  • this was a joke. iron maiden meant this as a joke u fucking dum fucks.

they did this beacause they were being accused of being satanists.

  • Hey bananliver! go back to your Britney Spears or whatever the fuck you listen to!! Iron Maiden is the best Heavy-Metal band ever but you obvisly don't have the guts to take that kind of music! I bet you would run to your mom if someone said satan in your precense!!!

    Up the irons, Nicko rules!!!

  • Up the Irons :D!!! go Nicko!!

  • he did sound like idi amin

  • lol, sounds jammacan.

  • Oh, so it does mean something backwards...

They must have been so pissed whilst recording that.

  • dont meddle wit tings you do not understand lol

  • i agree with that message, cause in the 80s, they were clasifiqued as satanics. NICKO IS THE LAW!

  • You omitted the first two lines before this: "This can't go on I must inform the law; Can this still be real or just some crazy dream?" I use to listen to them a lot back in the day, I think I know enough to say for certain, they are NOT satanic. It's just a song. Too many metal bands got labeled even Kiss was accused of it. There are bands out there with real problems, but it ain't Maiden. BTW, their drummer recently asked Jesus into his heart and got saved. Praise the Lord for that.

  • Provide a link for this concert in Oregon otherwise shut the fuck up.

  • Ever heard Hallowed Be Thy Name? It's about dying and living on in heaven so I take it you know nothing about Maiden or satanic bands. The backmasking was done as an (intoxicated) joke to take the piss out of people like you

  • And what about Sign Of The Cross?

    Eleven saintly shrouded men

    Silhouettes stand against the sky

One in front with a cross held high

Come to wash my sins away

There is no satanic band in the world that could write such lyrics. UP THE IRONS!
