Point well-taken, and probably true. However, Leno's "change of heart" cost a talented guy a job. Leno's career on the Tonight show's done nothing, but bring the show down. He's done nothing new since Carson. Letterman was slated for the spot, but Leno's presence was the catalyst for the CBS Letterman show, and ultimately lost viewers for NBC. Eventually, Conan will take more viewers elsewhere, and all because Leno can't leave gracefully.... And he's a hack.
