  • The parents, Dale and Leilani Neumann, were ordered to spend 30 days in jail each year for the next six years and were placed on 10 years’ probation. Mr. Neumann, 47, and Ms. Neumann, 41, who live in Weston, in central Wisconsin, had been convicted of second-degree reckless homicide in August.

  • I saw somebody say that Jesus can make the blind see and the deaf hear, and doctors can't. I lol'd.

  • You rock, it took some real balls to get up their and say that.

  • I belive in GOD and Jesus and what was tought but people tend to twist words around to fit what they want it to mean . Not one place in the bible does it say to never bring your self or any one to doctor . You get sick go to a hospital and pray to GOD for things to get better . We are given free will we are not slave who are told what to do , we are asked by GOD to behave in a certin way we are never forced to do any thing we dont want to do .

  • Prayer is a lot more powerful than the hospitals I mean the mom could have taken her to a hospital and then prayed for her but can a doctor make the blind see or the deaf hear? No can Jesus yes

  • @annan3238 Then why didn't jesus save this girl? jesus did nothing. Now the girl is gone. Lost because of a screwed up belief system that does nothing at all.

  • @aretz28 I hear your anger as it rages me too, but what if Jesus allowed it to happen, because he knew what her future would be, after much years of hate, maybe she would do the same to her future child etc. What I mean is, she wasn't saved from death in the flesh, but what if she is in Heaven, saved for eternity. God bless and *peace

  • @annan3238 I would presume you said 'Jesus performs miracles' because of what you have read in the Bible. Were you aware that the Bible was written from stories which were only told by 'word of mouth' until they were actually written down decades after Jesus' death? Then these stories were translated through several languages over thousands of years. It would appear that the Bible would have questionable accuracy at best. (cont)

  • @annan3238 As a child, did you ever play the game where you whisper a statement to another child...and when it reaches the 20th person it is completely different? This would appear to be a similar scenario to the Bible's creation 2,000 years ago. The stories were told verbally for decades...when innumerable exaggerations were surely included...then written down and translated several times....

  • Parent= idiot. believing in god= even dumber.

  • I would say that maybe she doesn't have enough money but 8 yrs!!! I might have diabetes but it has been 1 yr cause at first the symptoms wernt as bad and we aparently didn't have enough money

  • I would say that

  • Hey, If anyone knows the parents names i would really like to know.

I am interested in looking into this case further, Thanks.

  • @everyonewantsmedead The mother's name is Leilani Neumann. I'm not sure of the father's name. It's been covered by the AP so I'm sure you'll find plenty of info.

  • I love how you say 'this is right here in Wisconsin this is not some foreign country'. What, you think similar cases have not occured before in America? How many times should Christian extremists' reckless behaviour should happen before you people realize that terrorism isn't bound to a certain country, religion or society.

  • @Ndn1011 Woah, woah, woah. I go into detail about that later on after reading the lawyer's quote. I'm well aware that this case is not unique to America. It IS, however, unique to my area.

  • @TheOpenMinded12460 Unanswered prayers did not kill this girl. Criminal Negligence killed this girl.

  • @TheOpenminded12460 Obviously, I'm going to put quotation marks around the unanswered prayers.

  • @aretz28 Umm, the Bible doesn't say "God helps those who help themselves," anywhere. In actuality, it originated from Algernon Sydney in 1698 in an article titled Discourses Concerning Government.

  • I would personaly hammer some sence into those parents.

    In my eyes it's unforgivible.

  • I live in Wausau and firsthand all I can say is people were pissed. It was on channel 9 like constantly ( news)

  • Religious people are like witches, they should be hanged for misleading and deceiving people and making them believe that the supernatural a.k.a God is real. If god is real then why is fairies and trolls and leprechauns fake? Why can 't they be real too? Bible was man-made so why can't we believe any other book that was ever made also? Jesus was just another man on earth like Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein. Wake up people! Religion Kills!!!! Hang the religious people HA

  • @joannarei808 there is no evidence proving that he existed.

  • God bless you and your animals. Sad that some parents are not responsible. You are right, God bless the doctors hands thats how miracles happen. The lord call this little girl to end her suffering. As for the mother, I hope she rot in jail.

  • It is unfortunate what happened to that girl because of her idiot of a mom. But not all christians are like that. But there are a few that take the bible and twist it to fit their ideals , Hence fringe christians.

  • God creates disease ... doctors cure it....God creates pestilence... scientist invent pesticides... god creates floods ...... engineers build levees .... god creates famine ..... volunteers bring food....

The slack jawed yokels pray to god to heal their sick child and the child dies... the atheists takes their sick child to the doctor and the child lives.

But somehow people are still worshiping a cruel god instead of growing the fuck up!

  • no offince, but you people are making religion sound kind of bad.

But i do agree with many of you... it was reckless not to take her daughter to the doctor. the bible says, "God helps those who help themselves."

I think in this case they should have helped themselves by getting help.

  • Exactly.

  • @opalangel12 So in other words god isn't doing anything for you. So ask yourself, Why waste your time worshipping something like that and why waste your time with prayer.

  • @opalangel12 religion had a huge part

  • @opalangel12

The bible does not say "God helps those who help themselves". The problem with believers is that many of them lack common sense.

  • @opalangel12 yet god who apparently exists, did not do a thing to save her. Did not even live a finger.

  • @opalangel12 Lift*

  • second-degree reckless homicide, 10 years probation and one month in jail every year for the next 6 years. that kids life was cheap.

I want to beat Neumans grinning mug to a pulp.

  • these people dont understand that PRAYER is an act of FAITH but FAITH WITHOUT ACTION IS JUST STUPID. Prayer is powerful and so is faith but alone they are not enough someitmes action is needed.

  • Faith without action is whats called for!

if prayer is powerful, then it should be strong enough to balance insulin levels.

  • @Gayonne Prayer is a major waste of time. Why dfo you think so many prayers go unanswered? Because your either doesn't exist or doesn't give a shit .

  • such religious retards---not to mention that we're the "lost" sheep if we don't agree with their "righteous" standards ehh? "righteous" ... yeah, right.

  • I know of a related case here in my country a few blocks away from our place ... a group of born-again Christians prayed for this man with illness somewhat like cancer, and before (they thought) this worked before but now they prayed again and it didn't. Quite a sad thing how people could rely more on superstition when were in a scientific age. In this girl's case, whose to blame then? God or the parents?

  • I bet the parents sure don't pray for money - they go out and work for it. Yet.....

  • Well i guess maybe she should have taken this child to the Dr..but do you know how many drugs and tests and things the Drs do not days can be worse for you then not even going to a dr..how chemo kills you after youve had it..people who have cancer and get chemo..die from complication from the chemo..and some could have lived even longer without the chemo..there are pros and cons in all of this..I cant say she was wrong or not..maybe the Dr could have helped her we dont know. Drugs also kill.

  • Tell that to my cousin and you'll see you are wrong.

  • If you charge the parents for homicide, you will then have to charge parents of kids who have heart problems due to obesity.

  • Not one prayer has ever been answered or will EVER be answered. A pair of hands knitting has done more good than a trillion pairs of hands locked in prayer. Be good, kiddies!

  • I don't think I have been to a doctor for like 7 years and I have never received a flu shot and I'm fine. I build up my immune system.

  • I rarely go myself but in this case with this child getting progressively weaker and bed ridden... Some one should've been able to see she needed legitimate help. Hospitals always have chapels and ministers are always willing to be there if you request them. So their argument that they prayed for everything is just not good enough. I just don't understand why they did what they did.

  • That was my friend's friend. Wow this thing is huge.

  • anyone who lets a child die needs to die themselves!!! Including the one who dont believe in blood transfusions and let their children die!!!Sorry mother fuckers

  • what a stupid bitch, it astounds me that people still believe in that bullshit in the 21st century

  • thanks aretz28...but i like keeping things PG rated...ya know, for the kids :)

  • God does work in mysterious ways.

he wanted his daughter back and away from that B***h

also it was a lesson for everyone else: parents if your child is sick, take them to a doctor.

  • You don't need to sensor yourself on my channel. Bitch is totally acceptable.

  • this woman was insane, in the way of your children, if they are sick TAKE THEM TO THE DOCTOR! never sit around and "pray". that wont get you anywere!!!!!

  • Exactly.

  • oh praying when your kid is terminally ill will get you somewhere..... in fucking prison with any luck!! regardless of someones beliefs anybody with an ounce of intelligence or sanity whatever you want to call it, when someone is sick they go see a doctor, if you still want to pray for them then go ahead but do it after you get them to the quacks simple as. this silly bitch should never be allowed kids, in fact there should be laws to prevent anybody having kids till they are proven fit to do so

  • Yeah, it's much logical that God works through doctors, and not through invisible powers that heal the sick upon request through prayer. I'm not saying it's impossible for those powers to exist, but for people to take it so seriously, it is obviously dangerous.

I feel sorry for that little girl, and of course I also feel sorry for all those people praying. I feel sorry for them because to have such hopeless faith and trust in a higher power like that, shows what kinda sad lives they lead...

  • Articulate speaker, intelligent thought process, eloquently presented.

    Keep it up.

P.S. You Sir, are the answer to your pet's prayers (well done).

  • AHHH great another TYT er!! young Turks wow!< I like your cats!

  • Thank you, very much.

  • seriously sick untill about 2 weeks beforehand and their family is hurting so badly right now. They didn't murder her!! Think about the people you're talking about and how this could effect them before you go running your mouth. They're great people so shut up.

  • I'm not really running my mouth here. I'm expressing an opinion. I made it very clear that it's okay to disagree with me. I disagree with the way things were handled. Personally I would have called Protective Services. 2 Weeks is a long time.

  • Account is closed. Why? What are you afraid of? OOOOOOH THE OPINIONS!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!

  • hehehe ... the smoke hurts their eyes ... (;

  • Ok dude, I know these people. You have no right to sit there and slam them without even knowing them. They have a very extreme faith and they thought the best thing for them was to not bring her to the doctor. I am a Christian and i agree that a doctor should have been visited, but i'm not going to go calling them stupid because they didn't. Just so you know, people did recommend they go to the doctor BUT their strong beliefs led them to do otherwise. She didn't start getting seriously

  • No CrakerJill22 these parents are 100% guilty & they are so very deserving of jail for 25 yrs.

This was a tragedy, Kara was betrayed by her guardians. The Neumann's are worse than stupid, I believe they sacrificed their child for their own selfish egocentric impulses.

To make matters worse (unf##king believable) a petition has been set up asking for the prosecutor to be impeached - for what, doing her job?!?

Some nut-jobs have even posted that God just wanted Kara in his presence = insanity.

  • Some nut-jobs have even posted that God just wanted Kara in his presence = insanity.

"It's all GOD's will." Yeah right. Well, that's what we usually hear when things don't turn out they way they expect them to be. Always finding a way to get off the hook that is:these are the religious extremists. For us, that's insanity---not 4 them: cus they have their hawly books to justify their "belief".

  • Thanks irendelle, you expanded on my simple disagreement in regards to how the Neumanns treated their daughter.

    Great post.

  • Thanks n ur welcome.

  • awssss! kittttttiies!

That story freaking breaks my heart. :(

  • I have glitter in my videos! :) FUN TIMES!

  • It's not glitter, nerd! It's a manly piece of glass! LOL

  • hey, rebelfrak here. just posted a vid response. i think that regardless of my (or our opinion) the mother has a right to practice her religion. i know it sounds heartless to say that but it is true none the less.

  • Some people do a lot of dumb things praying to a "god" expecting miracles and nothing happens. Tbh it should have been the mother that died not the daughter.

  • I want a kitty.

  • LOL, I saw this comment and forgot I had them in this video! hahaha.

  • The case was about common sense, which this mother ignored. I'm actually a little discouraged with the understanding that 25 years, at most, she'll be out again. I would say that the charge of reckless homicide was appropriate than what would be more common of negligent homicide.
