  • anyone seems to notice suming srange at 1:28 ?

  • @SweetMapleChashDropZ you trippin???

  • To jrcr1 and everyone. I have a set of very handy fingers, I fix my old cell phone with minimal tools as well. I would be more than happy to take any donation of broken devices, and I'm surely I can work out some "for laymen" methods of doing so. :-)

  • on the older ipods they had plastic clips, you got a snowballs chance in hell doin it that way on my classic 6th gen, they used metal clips its like tryin to open a german tank

  • fuuu- i cut my nails yesterday

  • @HackerX44 me 2 XD

  • Unfortunately, it just wasn't 'this easy' for me. Using tiny screwdrivers to try to separate the front and back plates for my wife's 80G Ipod (Purchased in 2008), I ended up totally bending and destroying the VERY MALLEABLE thin metal plates. She'll be totally pissed when she gets home, but the battery was dead anyway. Back to Fry's for another $230+ donation to APple.

  • it didn't work for me... neither a guitar pick... both crack in the middle... i'll try something different...

  • 6 people broke the nails trying this...

  • why does he have a SYRINGE???!!!?!?

  • LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THEM TALONS!?!?!?! you didnt need tools cos you got em attached to the end of your freakin fingers

  • impresive. but ill just have appple replace my battery. thanks tho :D

  • That don't fukin work! I had to use a screwdrivers and shit to open mine up and I ended up breaking the front and back plates to the damn thing!

  • excellent, so you have had it apart a hunderd times before and even then you still used a tool, what a tosser, i just go mine part 80gb black classic, had to use a bloody thin steak knife! And now I have it apart I there a three VERY flimsy wires coming out of battery, two of which are stuck to the case, the other you will need the druggy syringe! What a waste of time! fking apple!

  • @lyndonkain I totally agree. I just opened mine and I was about to give up many times. It´s definetely not as easy as it looks in this video. Not to mention removing the old battery!

I used a Fender extra heavy pick. I am glad I didn't break it!!

  • @carolina1ve

awesome! thx for the guitar pick idea :D

  • @ri8002 You're welcome! Hope it worked!

  • i cant even do it with tools

  • he used a needle is he on drugs?! LOL WTF

  • That's pretty god damn impressive

  • shit broke my motherfukin nail.

  • fuck dude clip ur fingernails...

  • thanks! it worked

  • ohhh! what a beast with your nail

  • Is it me or do I hear a song that is on Devil May Cry 4?

  • Will it work for iPod classic 5th gen 30 gb?

  • thanks i really appreciate it lol [;

  • Devil May Cry 4 Music in the background??

  • i added a new battery to my ipod and it stills says very low battery what the hell am i suppose to do

  • charge it...

  • @stewi22 ahaha lol

  • Bullshit It said no tools wtf is that at 1:23 to 1:30

  • @getogoth696 He didn't use them, take a closer look, or how do you explain he did it three times with a different tool, when you only need to do it once?

  • what the fuck was that? how did you do it just with your nails?!?!?!

  • @macus4 Dude tose ipod video there just to easy to take apart i take mine and pull on one corner and it comes off

  • WHAT IF I DONT HAVE CRACKHEAD NAILS

  • nice comment lol but at least he done something!

  • @honorguitar25 lol!

  • i'm sure it's easy when you've already opened it 100 f'en times, right?? Why don't you show us how to open it the very first time which is the reason we're looking at your stupid video!! You might as well title you vid, "How to Open it with Abracadabra!!"

  • dude i just saw the video and opened mine for the first time ever and it was easy but some stuff fell out so be careful

  • you gotta be f'en kidding me right?? I feel like I'm building a f'en rocket here...I can't even get a crack on mine to open...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhgggg!

  • @gothambats2007 use a razor blade, it works really well =]

  • I just plug it into the wall using a 1,235,651 yard extension cord (Home Depot).

  • how much does a battery cost? i hear if you do it yourself you CAN loose some songs from your ipods system

    =( dam

  • just put them back on

  • Make sure you only slide around the metal edge - I managed to crack some of the plastic housing that holds the hard drive. I used a guitar pick, a heavy one (probably why I did damage).

  • i just use a butterknife

  • cut your nails you filthy hooligan

  • but didn't u use a tool?

  • But I said... NO TOOLS

    LOL

  • Thanks for this video, will try I it.

  • i dont have an ipod but cool method

  • I tried doing this with a Classic, but it didn't work. Case is to hard to open. Use a Guitar Pick, it works just as well as any case opener.

  • hi. so i replaced the battery, but the battery won't hold a charge. my ipod 5 gen will only work if the ipod is plugged into an outlet. When i plug my ipod into the pc, i get a Please wait very low battery.

Do you have any suggestion as to how I can get the battery working/charging?

I bought 2 new battery, both had the same result.

Send me a message on youtube mail thingy.

    Reply ASAP. Thanks

  • you have to charge them in the iPod for atleast 6hours, and try to get 24hours of charginf for the first time.

You may have to cycle the battery a few times before it will hold a decent charge

  • i get the same problem with mine i think the part where you plug the battery cable in is messed up on mine

  • i did it! yes!

  • Naughty boy! This one has been opened before.

Try this on a new one or classic and you'll mess up your finger nail.

  • nice music ^O^

  • Its Devil May Cry 4 music. :)

  • tits like

  • haha I broke my screen doing this..doesn't matter really because my harddrive was already effed up the backside from a fall.. thanks anyway :P

  • @OmaniMe93 exactly the same as me, but my hardrive died from old age :P

  • look at those f*cking claws.

    this video dosent help

  • is that a syring on 1:29 ?

  • yea

  • you still used a tool.

  • i mean you could if you cant take it out....

but i didnt really used it =p

  • Is there any difference between the 5th gen 30gb ipod video battery and the 80gb ipod classic battery? Or they are just the same? I was just planning to buy a higher capacity battery for my 80gb ipod classic.

  • i have no nails XD

  • @themasterofspying Stop nail-biting then, dumbass!

  • @PokePackOpener14 touchy touchy.

  • lol devil may cry 4 music in backround =]

  • bingo

  • @derricklum

    hahah i agree

  • 你丫就一2B

  • a screw drive is a tool

  • looks like a fun way to rip off a finger nail.

  • love the vid thanks now I can take the battery out and laugh about it Lmao

  • 1st of all, there is no 40GB iPod Video. 2nd of all, let's see you try this technique with an iPod classic (good luck!)

  • Shut up

  • iPod classic doesn't come in white idiot. Its black or silver.

  • @1243213 the 3rd gen i have one idiot

  • @MEATALHEADZSTANDUP that would make it a 3rd generation iPod. The 6th gen is the only generation referred to as simply "Classic". Before that, they were just called iPods.

  • @1243213 i have ipod classic and its white

  • @09nabila 'classic' refers to the 6th generation ipod. the 6th generation ipod isn't available in white. its silver or black. the 6th generation was given the "classic" retronym because it was announced alongside the newer ipod touch. Since the touch is completely new, and is a sort of replacement for the original "iPod," the 6th generation ipod was labeled with "classic" Although the previous generation are a similar style, they were not given the "classic" label when they were released.

  • "=p pretty girl~" LOL xD

    Thanks for the video

    I like here eyes, cyborg-like
