  • can you have distrotion with that?

  • @slangdoll thats nice

  • ah that explains that horrible sound...its a fender...buzzing, unstable strings, thin sounding pickups...just what ud expect from a brand name that is meant to suggest quality

nice effect though, and the guy needs to learn the song before covering it...also do you realise its in D, not in standard tuning...that might help you (or can ur fender not do that tuning?) ha ha

  • @Kangaroopoo007

come as you are isn't in D ... stop being an ass ..

  • @yochillman420 DCGFAD....yes it is! stop being an ass...look it up ha ha

(although some idiots also think its drop d...its just D

  • @Kangaroopoo007 Watch out we have a badass that plays a gibson

    you're so cool

  • @Kangaroopoo007 at least fender headstocks don't snap off like Gibsons do...

  • I'm pretty sure for the Nevermind recording Cobain had the depth switch down and the rate at 3'oclock. The pedal itself in my opinion sounds better with the switch up but not for this song. Thanks for sharing!

  • I had my Boss CE-2 and Boss DS-2 on when I played this, the CE-2 was on full blast with the distortion on about 3: O'Clock. Sounded very similar, would love to try an EH though.

  • cobain's small clone's rate is full all the time

  • Try to set at 10 0clck

  • Sounds really good! What guitar and amp did you use?

  • @durr529 I used a 1979 Fender Stratocaster with a Marshall Mode Four Head & Cab.

  • yeah the more i listen it actually reminds me of the jars of files from ALICE IN CHAINS :)

  • Sounds alot like the unplugged verison of Come As You Are :)

  • @justinord Cool... yeah, I didn't really try to get it exact but it did sound close... I know the depth switch really makes a big difference when it is up... makes the effect much more apparent. I'll check that unplugged version out again.

  • @justinord thats odd cuz he dident use eny pedals on that show.. only his DS-2 on the man who sold the world :p

  • @GrungeyMr if you look at pictures of unplugged you can see a SMALL Clone :)

  • @justinord thats not what his guitar tech said

  • @GrungeyMr its indeed next to his feet, he might of not used it then, don't forget the planning for unplugged was very on spot. but yes their was some disortion for TMWSTW ! :)

  • @justinord i saw it on the man who sold the world vid cuz no pics shows his feet :)

  • @justinord I allways thought he used it but a bigger nirvana freak then me said he dident use it :L

  • @GrungeyMr cool :) yeah the more i look at my picture it doesn't look anything is plugged in the box lol :)

  • @justinord what? thats waird... maybe he switch the cables to it when he played caya

  • @GrungeyMr He did use this pedal at a certain time, but the EHX polychorus was used on tour and in the studio more often :-)
