  • Jesus came to save people like this. He himself said "when I was in prison you came to my cell."

  • Wow. This moved me to tears.

  • likewise. huh . . . wow.

  • Love you for this...

May God richly bless you for putting this up.

  • Handel would surely have loved this!!! Sung from the heart and every word lived. Well done to all concerned I applaud you :))

  • -5 on the comment is the last thing you whould worried about..

  • everything that happens after they stop singing was totaly uncalled for :/ it had notthing to do with the song after wards, butbefore that it was quite good,

  • The point was to show how isolated the life of a prisoner is, and in this depressing life of living every moment in a cage that even they can find the joy of the birth of the Christ Child. The most important scene was the last. Faith without works is dead. Praying together and for one another is what happens in your spirit when Jesus enters your heart.

    Lord help them

  • ha ha... There is a fun...

  • at first i was a bit confused but then it really touched my heart. it is an inspiration how they sing with their heart and souls. even though they were flat i don't care they showed how dedicated they were and i thank you for showing the world something like this. it is a true inspiration.

  • Not sure what to make of this. Actually, the prisoners' attempts were more worthy of listening and viewing than the erractic and way-too-fast choral overlay. Good on these guys for finding the voice and heartiest congratulations to whoever it was who trained them (musically). There should be so much more music making in these correctional institutions.

  • agreed. the overlay is waaay too fast.

  • Thanks for sharing this! How beautiful!

  • does anyone know what version of this song is being played? who it is by?

  • it is conducted by Marc Minkowski and performed by "Les Musiciens du Louvre".

  • Thank you very much for posting this, it is really great, Händel sung by prisoners... I like Marc Minkowski and LMDL very much too...

  • @tinythechick

É uma versão de pessoas humildes e simples que querem recuperar a sua vida.

  • Not bad guys. A bit avant garde as well.

  • so nice :)

  • I was deeply touched, realizing after a few seconds that the men - though not musically expert - were singing with all their hearts and out of love for the music - and perhaps for the One about Whom the music protrays, and all this from prison.

  • I agree. It is one of the ways to say thank you to the one who Gave up His life for the bounty of many. Like these prisoners, We are like them, caged in our sins. The only one who can set free and bring liberty to us captives is Jesus. God Bless those prisoners who sang this piece...
