Totally superb. I've had great time cranking this up on my system and jamming in with you. can't wat to get my ac30 back from restoration (c.1965 proper Jennings) ;-)
Another fantastic clip. I hadn't seen this one until today. And it seems to confirm the speculation that I've heard on U2 Recording and Interference - That it is very possible that Edge used a Telecaster on the studio version of "Bad".
Only question is: Why never live? Anywho. Great job. Thank you for posting this.
hello mick superb video, very beautiful scenery .... what a dream. tell me how your modulation to settle your DD20? SETTINGS speed and depth ................... thank you.
Hi Mick, great as usual, i think your clips often stand out from the crowd not only because of your great sound and playing but because of your backing tracks. Do you / your band record them or have you sourced them else where ? I love your SHFWILF backing tracks also. I have a Alesis SR16 but never get time to experiment laying down a track. Nice stuff. Thanks.,
@justmejonboy I usually build them all for recording and for my band I do it the old school way and just play the instruments and multitrack it then play guitar last live and record that with video. I have used premade ones here and there but i find they sound fake somtimes plus i enjoy playing the instruments and learning all the parts to the songs somtimes correct...somtimes not lol..(Im no drummer at all) its all in good fun though
@wpaone Ah, excellent. I live in RI and am only about a half hour drive from the ocean. There's a place referred to as "the rocks" down near Naragansett that is amazing as well. If you've never been and are interested, let me know, I can get you the address. Keep up the great U2 covers. Are you in a U2 cover band?
@CDM4347 guitar on full Amp around 1/3 full vol. I was going for the same sound that i made with my pacemaker but the ac30 is just louder beefier. Both amps sound great though

Gorgeous tone. Spot-on phrasing. Loved the extra high notes you added to the outro as well. Great job. And honestly, I hate everything.

Great video, Mick. The music's terrific, of course, but, as a New Englander at heart, I enjoyed the visuals just as much.

Nice...good choice with choosing a condenser mic over a dynamic too,I think they're much better at capturing the true tone and allowing the depth.

Holy shit, it's The Edge playing. Congrats, best cover I've heard on Youtube, and I think I've heard all of them.

flyhi94 11 months ago
what channel are you in? Is it a Normal, Bass or Treble model?
777jordan 11 months ago
@777jordan I used the brilliant channel. keep in mind this amp is a late 63 ac30 so it doesnt have the top boost .
mick3b1g 11 months ago
@mick3b1g does it have a T, N, or B at the end of the Serial Number?
777jordan 11 months ago
@mick3b1g I see it is a Normal voicing at 3:11!

Thanks for your reply. I guess that amp has a lot of clean headroom? Was it loud in the room, as in this is not so great for my ears loud?
CDM4347 1 year ago
@CDM4347 it can get very loud yes but sounds good at lower vol as well if your playing clean
mick3b1g 1 year ago
Sounds great, a little like the pacemaker? If you could share the volume settings on the guitar and amp I would appreciate it.
