I know this is fake. But realistically a low stance like what the capoeira fighter has leaves one open for both hook and axe kicks both specialties of tae kwon do. Also for some reason the tae kwon do fighter has almost no guard even when he is standing still which is lazy and cheap choreography by the movie directors/producers.

@TheGalaxyCrusher Depending on the school of course, but the low stance is actually pretty effective. One, having gone against practitioners of other styles I know the sudden change from high to low can be rather confusing for them. And while, yes getting that low does invite overhead kicks, with my school we're actually inviting that as we have quite a broad range of counters for such a situation.

I'm curious, has anyone seen anything on youtube where TKD wins a fight? I did capoiera for two years and although its good for flexibility, upper body strength and fun, I dont rely on it in a one-out to drop a motherfucker that gets angry in a club, but it seems TKD is just taught for guys to get fucked up. Is it for conditioning? NO in fighting? No ground fighting? 2 linear punches, (left and right)? Kicking above thew waist is not a good idea unless your way too fast for your opponent.

@ninjamonkey169 learn it for real and you will see...well i learnt TKD throughout high school and there are alot more to linear punches...kicking above waist is becoz that's where you do damage...kicking below waist just immobilize them ....you may argue that it's easier to block with your arms if you kick at above the waist but if you kick good enough you can kick around the guards

Korean-Korea taekwondo is really better than the American style, because the Koreans move around a lot in their style it's like the black American style of boxing for them. I've seen how they do twriling like movements so opponents can't hit them it's really awsome.This is something that I've not seen in American style taekwondo.
