Watch out for that fithy jew zionist Ira Bleiweiss. "Israel" must be dismantled. It has no right to exist. It's a phony state which was created at the expense of the indiginous Palestinians.

Bravo fellow bridge bloggers!!! I couldn't make it there that day is see the teriffic response that you received. We must Never stop with the pressure against the Zionist War Machine!!!
Thanks for your dedicated work, I hope you are vigiling on the overpass on a regular basis. Our group has been vigiling 1.5 hours a week since Feb. 2003 US OUT OF IRAQ NOW, IMPEACH... and NO IRAN WAR... see my video of it.
You must be confusing this country with a fascist country. Although the U.S. is fast becoming a fascist country, current laws still allow freedom of speech.
Freedom of speech does not include creating a highway hazard. People who are reading your signs are not paying attention to the road as they should be. It's bad enough people are distracted by their cell phones, putting on makeup or shaving, eating, messing with the radio, etc. They don't need an added distraction.
Incidentally, I would've called the cops on you in a heartbeat for this and not because of your message. I would've called the cops on anyone doing that.
By your logic, then, people shouldn't assemble near arterial streets either? They require just as much attention as the freeway.. Well.. read your constitution sometime. We have a right of assembly, and a right of free speech. We have been defending *your* right to make stupid comments since 1789.
You've made a poor assumption: that our protesting is somehow distrupting the flow of traffic or is otherwise creating a traffic hazard, or both. If you'll look at the clip again, you'll see that the traffic is going very slowly; that's because we deliberately picked the rush hour to do our protesting, knowing that rush-hour traffic is moving slowly on that road.
Do you have some statistics, indicating there are more crashes when people are on the overpass with signs? I doubt if you even have seen isolated cases. But the law is clear: the driver is responsible for his/her vehicle. I presume you believe in a rule of law. So buzz off, and take it up with your legislature. Seriously. Because you're going to run into constitutional issues, and a huge majority of people *opposing your theories. * So buzzz off.
Let's face it, you're an uptight, anal retentive, Repugnitan sheep who relies on rules to live your life rather than your own god-given brains. Your issue is not the traffic; it's the fact that we don't agree with you and your limited view of life.
Sorry to unmask your real intentions; I know it hurts. And your pretense of having an intelligent discourse is as disingenuous as your attempt to hide behind behind your traffic issue. I'v long ago given up trying to have intelligent discourse with neo-cons; it's an oxymoron.
would complain this passionately about all the huge billboards, some of them with semi-nude pictures... you be the judge... peaceful sign-holding when the cars are going at probably 10-20 miles/hr vs. commercial billboards when drivers are driving 60+...
just look around you next time... how many accidents have you had because of paying attention to the billboards...
btw, don't waste your energy, what they did is completely legal... so... maybe u should invest your energy for more positive things... maybe you could start a campaign against billboards since you are so passionate about drivers' safety!

"Israel" is a terrorist and apartheid state.

To clarify, the blogging pictured had an anti-war theme; it was not related to the Palestinian situation

We protest at the bridge every Tuesday--have been for almost two years.

Lame. Your know, there are reasons why they have laws against this sort of thing.

But your right to assembly and free speech does not give you a right to endanger other people's safety.

Oh, okay. So because it was rush hour, that makes it okay. Gotta love moral relativism.

moral relativism?
accepting "distracting" the drivers when they are driving 10 miles/hr... relative to???
not accepting israel making life miserable for palestinians?

The driver is responsible for his vehicle, yes, and protesters are responsible for their behavior as well.

And thus ends any possibility of intelligent discourse. Thanks for reverting to your typically liberal ways.
