I heard this song when in a thrift store today & said, to everyone at large, "This is one of my favorite songs!" So I was prompted to youtube it, found this vid, it's great, thanks! Yes, talk about a Groovy vibe! Thanks so much for making this. Roxie in Mpls.
Cobb, Nix and Daughtry in the Classics IV later joined ARS and re-recorded this song which was written by Classics IV saxophonist Mike Sharpe (Shapiro) and Harry Middlebrooks, Jr.
Ron, I just love these guys. Another brilliant job of putting together a very entertaining video!! Much appreciated!! I saw these on your other site, and decided I better check them out!! Awesome, as always! Many, many thanks!
@pitouneify buddy buie and j r cobb wrote the lyrics for this song. both cobb and buie wrote all thier songs. also did the arrangements and played on them. then buie and cobb went on to start the atlanta rhythm section.
Ah, the 60's, days of High School, Summer of Love, the British Invasion, yet again, cruisin' in my '65 Chevelle, drinking MD 20/20 and smoking the night away... Taking a girl to the movies and making out in the balcony or at the Drive-In, something kids today know nothing about. And the music was by musicians not computer generated.
I remember playing the sax solo in high school jazz band. We had just finished rehearsal when I started playing the solo. "The quiet 2nd tenor could play something!" - Then I broke out and played the solo to "Touch Me" Yes, they were played verbatim, but it was still fun to show off for a minute or two; before going back into my shell and blending in with the rest of the band the next day.

@livinthe60s1 actually I had this big write up for you some how it deleted. I am 27 and live this generation vicariously through the memories said by those that were able to pull back on the throttle back never go over "the edge" Most of my take and influence of the 60's and 70's is through my literary hero and person I have felt most related too in the sense of personality and political ideology. I would love for you to share some of your stories and even old photos of those spooky times...

@dudeski78 I disagree totally! Dennis' voice was a gift from God. Yes, the songs were well written, but Dennis played an equally important part of their success in music. Dennis didn't fade away, he kept singing even with a paralyzed vocal chord.
