I can build a nice fancy spiral staircase! :) It would be simple to build it a 3x3 just to have room to get back up... also sorry bout your animal problem... (For the server I once played on, all of the chickens were put in water and they float, so if you make an area underneath it, you could easily collect it, message me if your confused about that or need more description.)
