@creativemindtj You mean place the hall effect sensors in terms of the circuit or with respect to the magnets? If you placing it with respect to the magnets you'll have to do trial and error to find the best place which triggers the magnets on the wheel to self start. Make sure your magnets poles are alternating between north and south on the wheel for hall effect ic.

im currently building a motor but id like to use hall effect ics. it has 6 coils and a 4 magnet armature. how would i place the hall effect sensors

I connected the electromagnets the electromagnets in parallel to the supply. if yu want I can put up a link for the circuit diagram

how do you connect the battery to 2 electro magnets?
like do you coil around each and then join them or do you jus leave them?
