  • Sorry old chap..., thought it wasTony from the Romford area pulling out of the Halfway House. The car Im thinking of is being repainted at the mo black and gold. My mistake

  • Thats not a Lotus Twin Cam or Lotus Cortina ,,,,,,,Thats a crossflow with 40s on it in a Mk 1 Cortina and Ermine white is the correct colour with the stripe in Citreon Sherwood Green,,,,,Just like a Lotus Cortina.

  • @markeyb575 It is a GT with an all Steel XE on 45`s

  • Thanks mate,And i love the sound of it...straight cut gears and induction noise love it

  • hi,you dont see many off them about, brother+cousin had mk2 savage,s.IF ever looking for paint esstimate give me a bell[ or pass on to other ford members].cheers miff121.

  • I forgot to mention it was in the early 70's and it sounded just like your video. I traded it for a '65 bug because first gear became so worn it sounded like a police siren.

  • Ha Ha........Mine has straight cut gearbox so whines so loud it drives you either crazy or you love it

  • Nice, my brother picked one up for my mom as an everyday driver. I beat many a Porsche with it. The only drawback was when I punched the throttle all the way done to hard the throttle linkage would pull apart and I'd have to get out and reconnect it.

  • Had that before with my old mk1.. . .thanks Mate

  • Actually, ours was a mk1 Cortina GT. Who ever designed that linkage with the little ball that would pop out was loaded or something. Don't remember seeing any others around Southern California in the early 70's.

  • wow

  • A great car you have here -is the car original A bracket etc ? i would like to find another ....

  • No Mate has a set of antoi tramp bars fitted and a Panard Rod/kit on the rear

  • I sold my 1965 Mk1 Lotus in 1973 but hanker after another upon my return to the UK next year

I know someone who has a 1965 Mk 1 airflow car in bits believe it or not and has been stored like this for many year it's all there he will never do it .. heres hoping
