you say the song is opposite of what the anime depicts, but if you actually watch the anime, it is quite apperent that

Shinji is in love with one or more of the woman in the video, one case is definatly misato, because she kisses him in "END". another would be Rei becuase she is technically his mother. i think the song works with the clips of the anime i have chosen

I tend to disagree. Shinji love Misato as a mother, as she's the most careing person he's known. She kisses him in End to try and motivate him the only way she knows how; Physically. Rei scares Shinji after the incident with the tank, but before that he doesn't see her romantically. Asuka would be the best choice, but she wouldn't let anyone get that close to her.
