As if the earth's inertial frame suddenly ceases to be relevant. If a closed time like curve could exist near the planet's surface and inertial frame matters. The local inertial frame (earth) could easily continue across the "length" of the phenomena. Or just throw the whole space/time coordinate theory out the window and end up anywhere.

Europe is uniting more and more all the time, 65 years ago the continent was ripped by nationalism in the midst of war, now they are united. When we can get along like that, then globalism can reach full effect and we can live without borders.

Idea that order is something given to us from above is a remnant of religious thinking. As we understand universe more and more we can see that order is emergent and not planed at all. The real danger humanity faces now is caused by extremist ideology, and I think it's too early to say if we're going to see peace in the end. I think the key to real everlasting piece would be seizure of resources and an efficient global economy that encourages free trade between countries. They are so intertwined with the US through trade that it hurts them to try anything, and they are the only real coming power that MAY reach anywhere near America's superpower status.
