There is an easy way to keep your liberties and freedoms, whether speech or anything, and that is to use them constantly. Say anything you want, do whatever within reason. But most certainly USE them. Just like any athlete must exercise, YOU must EXERCISE these. You will live a miserable existence if you fade, and I will make you jealous. Be informative as well. We are under covert attack, best to do whats right and just carry on being free.
We all need to donate to Ron Paul TODAY! If only 1 percent of America gives one dollar, that would amount to roughly 2.7 million dollars. I think that WE THE PEOPLE are much more than 1 percent of this once great nation.
Ron Paul will save America. Ron Paul Revolution!!!
Ron wins every straw poll and any other poll done on a fair basis. We should all avolid the mainstream news at all cost because they want to silence Ron Paul and the message of freedom. Unless of course Ron Paul is to appear on the show. Only use news from sources who cover Ron Paul still.
im not sure ron paul is interested in the electric car. Im pretty sure he would leave it up to americans and the free market to decide when to phase out fossil fuels.

Ron Paul is a cult leader. His followers have no political savvy, they just see someone who offers impossible change. But what they don't realize is that he also has some crazy ideas. Not only is he in favor of U.S. withdrawal from the U.N. , as well as getting rid of the Social Security system altogether. Moreover, on the Tonight Show, he made a huge mistake by referring to America as an "empire." I hope his followers realize he is probably the most dangerous candidate for the presidency.
Just listen to what he says! He says he doesn't think Social Security is a good program, but he is the only one with a practical plan to save the system from collapsing on itself! He calls the US an empire because we have troops all over the world in peaceful areas as well as dangerous ones, while we need them over hear for our protection! Listen to the guy before you trash him.
I have listened to him, that's why I feel validated in "trashing" him. For the record, he refers to the American "empire in a positive manner, saying he was devoted to "preserving the American empire." So, I believe you should get your own facts straight. Paul's programs aren't practical, they're erratic and force unbearable change on a nation in a short amount of time. And what do you have to say about his views on the U.N.? You conveniently left any mention of that out.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
The U.S.A. might be comparable to an empire by definition, but do you really want to trust a political figure who is openly willing to refer to our nation as an empire, and is devoted to the preservation of the said empire? That's doesn't sound very "freedom loving" to me.
Please re-watch the tonight show video and tell me if this is what he really said. I think Dr. Paul's definition of the American empire would only include our recognized borders.
When Paul refers to America as an "empire", he's trying to stress how the US has power all over the globe due to imperialistic foreign policy.
Many people believe Paul to be an isolationist, which isn't true. He voted to send troops into Afghanistan, even, and wants to maintain US territories around the globe in order to continue trade with other nations. This is what Paul is referring to when he states "preserving the American empire".
Paul wants to abolish the Department of Education due to education being primarily a local and state issue - it's simply not worth its budget. Even the NCLB act is unfair regulation which benefits certain educational businesses...
Government regulation wasn't what progressed the US through the 20th century - it was free markets. Programs such as the DOE are just machines for regulation which hurt the economy, and Paul advocates their abolishment in order to improve it.
So what's more important to you? A group of rich bureaucrats getting bribed into placing socialistic regulation on our public schools, or being able to buy more than a miniature cheeseburger with a buck?
Man, if even a third of the people in the United States understood economics, we'd have a much better country.
I'm totally in favor of national budgeting for our school system, it should be a socialized system; we should be modeled after the European nations, who's nationally funded schools far surpass our own in quality.
And how come everyone keeps on dodging the issue of the U.N.? How do you explain that Ron Paul is committed to removing the United States from the United Nations?
Paul wants to pull from the UN is because it's an example of world government, which is unconstitutional, and the UN itself is socialistic.
By disbanding from the UN, we gain a dignified national identity, can still trade freely with other countries, and avoid involvement in the wars/affairs of other nations. Paul: "When Michael New... objected to wearing UN blue, he was kicked out of the American Army." Goes to show you how people want to represent AMERICA, not some "peace organization"
All I'm hearing from you is fear of radicalism. We've progressed for decades without government programs. If we decrease the amount of programs, we can decrease taxes, allowing citizens to invest and spend more of their own money. This is what will bring our economy out of its current state - and when the economy improves, so do our living standards. So again, what's more important to you?
You are absolutely correct Litanss and may I add that the DOE is also a machine for implementing a social engineering agenda for the dissolution of the family and the dumbing down of our children. The more uneducated our kids become, the more they become candidates for dying in the bullshit lying illegal wars.
The UN is only good for taking our money, eliminating our nation sovereignty and working towards a one world government with only two classes, the elite and the poor. Not something I can support.
the DOE does more than provide funds to school - the regulation they advocate interferes with markets in the educational sphere.. and the last place we want trusts is the businesses which teach our children. Even home school programs are going to be regulated and biased. The government is going to compromise with these businesses in order to take control over exactly what children learn. so it results in an overconcentration of federal power over education
You need to get educated (before it is too late) about the political scene. Start reading more in publications like newswithviews. You simply don't understand how this is all working. If you did understand, you would not be attacking Dr. Paul. He is the only candidate who truly understands the constitution...on which our country was founded. It sounds like you would like us to become more socialistic with more government control.
I agree. Her articles are great! She has informed me on a great deal of issues. I wish others would read articles such as hers before voting this election.
I like Gravel. He has certainly made the Democratic debates much more interesting and doesn't mind putting Hillary and the other criminal candidates in their place. He just won't get the votes he deserves.
when ron paul drops out and Gravel is the only other choice besides the nwo candidates in the general election how would you like those words cooked so you can eat them.
Gravel isn't getting into debates now because he isn't meeting his fundraising goals. Now on the other hand, paul is raising multitudes more than expected - Also, news corporations continue to keep Paul in debates because they know his presence attracts viewers, despite giving him unfavorable coverage due to their personal views.. it's a win-win situation for paul and the media
it doesn't matter if he raised a billion dollars. Hes running against Guiliani and Guiliani is an Agent of the system. Guiliani hasn't just raised 20 million or whatever the number is. Rudy has the systm backing him so money is no object. They're not going to let Ron Paul spoil thir plans. So unless Ron runs as a libertarian then hes not going to be in the general election. remember Kucinich in 04?
"the system"? Presenting conspiracy theories isn't going to get anywhere.. if Paul gains support, like he's currently doing, he wins GOP nomination. And Giuliani is a moderate - he used to be a democrat. Many republicans know this (he's pro-choice, supports gay civil unions, pro-gun control) and it's going to cost him votes, especially in the south.
Hopefully the message will transcend the false left/right, Democrat/Republican paradigm that the controlling powers and the main stream media want to perpetuate.
Not really, considering he wouldn't stand out as much as he is right now - and the republican primary vote is much more diluted. Ron Paul has the advantage as a republican candidate due to his radicalism, a large one too, due to so many of the GOP candidates being so similar (exception of Giuliani). Running against the H-Monster and Obama would be much more difficult than running against Giuliani and Thompson, in my opinion.
One side of me wants him to win the other doesn't because I don't want to see him death. Having Obama will be real change as much as a respect and believe in most of what Run Paul says he is really no change at all.
Paul would be no change if we followed the original philosophies of unregulated markets and preservation of liberty. Much of US market regulation is influenced by big business to hinder competition, causing many problems for our country. Prescription drugs, for example, are much cheaper in other countries than in the US, but healthcare industries push for regulation which restricts meds from being imported. If Paul abolished this regulation, our med prices would drop due to foreign competition.
OK so he gets to be the president do you think the congress will allow him to do anything of what he says he would change? I doubt it It would be 4 years full of chess playing and we the people will suffer, I mean do you really want that?
With a democratic majority there's going to be plenty of controversy if he attained office. However, the PATRIOT Act and the DOHS would be easily abolished via democrats, because both have Bush's name on them. Similarily, there's many other things democrats may take Paul's side on - bringing troops home (or at least cutting spending), civil rights issues up to the states, "war on drugs" funding, etc. Abolishment of expensive programs like the DOE and CIA would probably require a compromise
I wish Hannity would get hanged. I think he is a tritor to this country. Hannity is a liberal that tries to convince stupid conservatives what true conservatism is.
