@talldude123 their last albums aren't pop-rock at all. i like both old and new nickelback (as for me there is only one nickelback). their first songs are great and heavy and powerful, and new songs too, but no so as the previous ones. in what nickelback is great doing in the last albums is in writing the lyrics of the songs: every ballad they made speaks to my heart, and i almost cry with "never gonna be alone" it reminds me my grandfather that left me when i was 3 years old.

@someoneinexistance Everything off The State (and to a degree Silver Side Up) was better than anything they've did since. This song is simply great, it is what post-grunge is supposed to be. You can certainly tell how they were influenced by bands like Nirvana in this song, you can't really on any of the stuff they've did recently.
