The biocannon is a tyranid exotrine. I was looking through my 1999 citadel miniatures catalog and saw a model for epic that looked just like the biocannon.

after my college years im gonna start warhammer as a hobby! build me a nice tau army or tyranids, and if in 10 years other stuff has been made, that too! x)

I think the nids got the vent-things on their backs from the eldar, seeming as tyranids get ideas to evolve from killed enemies.

Yes its a big sheet of pink foam it is a around 8-13 dollars, just go in and ask "I'm looking for the big sheets of pink foam." and they will help you from there.

I made 4 of those with some foam and they are epic! So cheap and easy to make, you get like 30 out of a 2"x8'x2' chunk of foam.

Giger designed every last bit for AL|EN that had to do with the organism, from the actual creature to crashed ship and everything inside. Not just the sculptures. So yes, apologies to H.R. Giger are due! :P
