  • @conceil8 The sins are accountable to satan, who decives man's sinful nature and leads them into more sin. He had led people to change the faith given by the apostles and depart from One Holy Chatholic Apostolic Orthodox Church and form their own churches. What they need to do is return to the original faith. Orthodox priests do not "sell" the blessings. The Orthodox church is faithful in it's fulnes. God bless you.

  • god bless orthodoxya

  • Very very beautiful. The monks live the truth...the life in God...beautiful-they are the richest people in the World(the spirit weights more then money)

  • BEAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTIFUL !!!!

    Aaahhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Holy Week in a monastery is tough enough, but with the weather still frozen...

  • cks125....all due respect, that day will never come! If anything, the romans will have to reconcile with the Orthodox Church for the wrongs commited over the last 1500 years. Remember, Rome "excommunicated" the 4 patriarchates and went on their merry way (in another direction) The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church never changed and here we are today....still unchanged. Can the Roman church say that?

  • "Pride, the sin of Lucifer, the 'Luminous One', blinds even those who possess the truth but have no humility." (St John Chrysostom)

  • I look forward to the day when them and us catholics can share in a life of union with christs vicar on earth the pope,so we can fullfil Christs will of unity. We also pray for the heretics..protestants and lutherens to return home to the true faith. Christus vincit, christus regnat!

  • Jesus Christ said "Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather divison". Truth matters. There are things I respect about Catholicism, like its respect for monasticism, asceticism, the rosary, etc, but it is a VERY different theology. They may accept the eastern Fathers (Chrysostom, Ephraim of Syria, John Damascene, Basil, etc) as "doctors of the Church" but didn't take ANY of their theology from them. It's a very different theology.

  • Like What theology..........??? i'm truly curious??? and for that matter does theolody matter if we believe the same thing in anycase yea i hope you respond

  • Eastern Orthodoxy focuses more on the Resurrection than the Crucifixion, and comes from a tradition of philosophers (like the Greek philosophers) The West's tradition was more skill in law and administration, not phiosophers. Also, Catholicism focuses more on the debts we owe to God, Orthodoxy focuses more on how God taking human nature restored fallen human nature, healing it and uniting it to Himself. Both approaches and cultural heritages are fine, but very different.

  • O! thanks for the info. O well i guess as long as the east and the west recognize each other as being part of the body of christ its okay... Maybe God has destined this division to happen...

  • I doubt it.... More like Pope Leo IX destined it to happen. The Split was the result of a lust for power in Rome.

  • I agree! politics did play a role in this... but i stand here as a proud Roman Catholic under the Pope the continuation of Peter. still praying that one day the Church may be repared and the evil that is protestanism may be destoyed and all may come home to the Church... but i leave it at that... May you have a blessed good friday and Holy Easter!

  • Both traditions aren't "fine." With all due respect, Rome split from the East and cut itself off from the Church, Christ's Body. Had the schism not occurred, the Western Church's theology would be in line with Orthodox theology; there would be no more than culture differences in worship as there has always been.

  • @tsamuel1984 Wel spoken my orthodox brother O Theos na ze exi panta sto fos

    tou

  • Also, Rome is against hesychasm which is the backbone of Eastern Orthodoxy. I read a description on a Catholic site of hesychasm and it wasn't true at all, not at all! It is very different from what they say, but it may not fit in with the Roman Catholic theology, even though it has produced holy clairvoyent elders and incorrupt saints.

  • PS: The quote of Jesus saying He came to bring division is Luke 13:51

  • The popes may refer to us as sitser churches, but there can only be one Church in the world. The church of Rome is very different to the Orthodox Church, doctrine, faith, practice, theology, this is more important than a superficial worldly view of unity. The Churchis and will always be unified, Christ's body is one.

  • very nice photos!

    god bless all orthodox

    amin

  • MULSTUMESC ! !!!!!

  • Superb!

Amin.

  • Beautiful! God bless them!
