Yeah It's more like a LS6. In fact, swapping LS6 heads on the aluminum-head-equipped LQ4 or LQ9 6.0L would only result in higher compression. This is because the LQ heads were derived directly from the LS6 heads. The main difference is in the combustion chambers
updated vids!!!! been following a little on ls1tech im doing the same setup in a 96 impala got the motor got the turbo, need a new dd to get to work then i can let the fun begin;)
its a ls1, with the factory fuel injection. The car went 11.27@130 with a bone stock transmission, stock stall, with a 2.1 60 foot LOL. at 8lbs of boost. So theres lots left in it.

@imatuner It is a 6.0l LQ4. its easier to just say it is an ls1 seeing how they share pretty much every damned part within reason.
