  • I have been watching more Rinpoches teach after watching Rinpoche Norbu in the documentary My Reincarnation. His teachings are just so enlightening, and how he instructs is very peaceful it is like he is dealing with his own family.   • @stupidbutcocky there are several books that explain the technique in great detail.... The Bliss of Inner Heat by Lama Yeshe (i think i spelled that right) is a good one, and there are several others

  • @firuinthehouse The video talks about monks that begin to generate heat after 15 minutes. It surely isn't easy to maintain a visualization, even a simple one for that time without stray thoughts coming into your mind or falling asleep.

  • @agormanvideos OK, this I can actually do. But do you know it is 15 minutes and not 20 ? Or 20 and not 30 ? Last prescription I've seen said meditate each day for as many minutes as your age. For me that's 29.

    So I may try what this monk says since he mentions it's good for health in general, but do you know some specific, accurate details ?

  • @firuinthehouse just meditate as long as you feel comfortable for. That age concept sounds like a superstition. Age? What if you already lived many years in previous incarnations? The best advice I can give you is that it's more a matter of feeling secure in your path, in what you're doing and a matter of patience, relaxation and concentration. According to my experience, if you're cold, one of the best techniques is relaxing and recitating the asatoma mantra. Be careful to pronounce it well.

  • @agormanvideos The age concept is proposed by Patriji, and it may have to do with the amount of meditation that this particular body needs, for balanced functioning, not your soul / spirit, or whatever the non-material part that incarnates is called.
