dude... i have a question for ya... im currently running my clk on 17 inches tires.... can i like go for the 19 inches.. i mean will it screw my performance =S!?
19's on a CLK will improve performance if anything. Wider tires make a bigger footprint & this means more traction. As for the weight/size slowing your acceleration down, the difference is nominal. It's only 2 inches larger than stock. I had 13's on my civic & went up 6 inches to 19's and noticed a little lag, but from 17"-19", there's no real lag. Fair warning, running 19's will require a shorter tire and this means that potholes will be louder and will increase the possibility of a bent wheel
@DoCoR69 I replied above. Also, I think an ideal wheel tire size for you would be in front, 19x9 245/35/19, and in the rear, 275/30/19 19x10. You can even go wider if you like. I'd personally rock 20's on a w212, If that's what you are driving.
Better yet, i have a c240 kompressor sport, i also have 19' on it and my steering wheels shakes going 45-50mph sometimes. I was recomened that i take them off because c class was designed for 17' tops. They said my suspension will break apart if i dont. Is this true, i really do not want to get rid of my tires, they look really nice.
Axis Milanos are awesome looking wheels - especially if you like to stretch and poke them slightly out of the fenders. Too bad Axis doesn't make them anymore.
Guys, If the overall size remains the same there shouldn't be any difference with regards to shaking.... But I would expect better cornering...
